Iran Working To Establish Foothold In Nicaragua
Topics: IranThe Iranians' arrival in Nicaragua comes as the Bush administration and some European allies hold the threat of war over Iran to force an end to its uranium enrichment program and alleged help to anti-U.S. insurgents in Iraq. What worries Washington about this is that should the need arise to attack Iran over it's development of a nulear bomb, Iran could stage strikes on American or allied interests from Nicaragua, deploying the Iranian terrorist group Hezbollah and Revolutionary Guard operatives already in Latin America: Iran making push into Nicaragua
Most Americans disbelieve the recent U.S. National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) finding that Iran has ended and not restarted its Nuclear Weapons Program, and 64 percent believe the NIE findings will make us less safe because it might lead to reduced pressure on Iran.
