Feminist author rewrites novel after death threats from Islamic jihadists

We've already become accustomed to headlines like (Muslims riot over writer who "hurt Muslim sentiments"; troops deployed), but as Robert Spencer points out at Jihad Watch - make no mistake, headlines like this are the kind we will be seeing in the West before too long, if we don't make a stand now: "Feminist author rewrites novel after death threats from Muslim extremists."

Only yesterday, there was: Canadian Islamic Congress taking Mark Steyn to the Human Rights Commission.

Clearly, Islamists enjoy free speech for themselves, but no one else. As Daniel Pipes has noted, "Will the West stand up for its customs and mores, including freedom of speech, or will Muslims impose their way of life on the West? Ultimately, there is no compromise: Westerners will either retain their civilization, including the right to insult and blaspheme, or not":

More specifically, will Westerners accede to a double standard by which Muslims are free to insult Judaism, Christianity, Hinduism, and Buddhism, while Muhammad, Islam, and Muslims enjoy immunity from insults? Muslims routinely publish cartoons far more offensive than the Danish ones . Are they entitled to dish it out while being insulated from similar indignities?

So just when will the West going to finally have enough Islamofascist attempts to destroy our will and democracy, and up and tell the Islamists, "No, we'll have no more of your Middle Age nonsense, and we'll have no more Islamists in our nations - period." And when is the West going to tell radical Muslim groups like CAIR to go to hell, and start supporting truly moderate, secular Muslims and groups like the American Islamic Congress?
