Report: New Evidence In Holloway Case Derived From Phone Conversations (Update)

According to Fox News, the new evidence in the case has to do with taped conversations between Joran van der Sloot and brothers Deepak and Satish Kalpoe from earlier this year which contradict their earlier testimony regarding Holloway's disappearance. If true, the doggy trio could indeed be in deep yogurt. However, since we've seen so many dead ends in this case so far, I'm not going to jump to any conclusions about whether or not the new evidence is going to go anywhere.
At this point, I'd almost be willing to bet that Natalee's body will never be found and that the three squirrels will wiggle out of anything other than minuscule punishment for their, at this point - alleged, involvement in her disappearance.
Update: The evidence could be more damning than it first appears. Apparently, the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf reports that the new evidence comes from recently monitored telephone calls between the three suspects. (Hat tip - Scared Monkeys). "Recent" telephone calls - interesting!
