Religion of Peace Alert: Al Qaeda in Somalia Promises to Behead Ethiopian Children
Topics: Understanding IslamThe Islamists of the African Courts Union apparently haven't gotten the word that Islam is a peaceful and compassionate religion. Aden Hashi Farah Ayro, the leader of the African Courts Union's Hizbal Shabaab youth movement, today threatened to kill any and all African Union troops sent to Somalia as peacekeepers and warned that Somalian jihadis would someday reach the capital of Ethiopia and behead women and children there.
What is it about Islam that attracts people like this? On the other hand, what is it about certain cultures that causes them to be attracted to the extremist versions of Islam? How is it that jihadists can have no compassion for their fellow human beings?
