Apparently, Murtha's comments were just too big a problem for the House Democrats (more here) and either Nancy Pelosi got to Murtha and told him he'd better tone down his positive assessment - or he's off his meds again. This wouldn't be unusual for Murtha since every time he speaks, he gives the impression that his meds need adjustment. ...
Clearly, the "defeat at any cost" party has made an internal adjustment.
