British teacher faces lashes in Sudan after class teddy bear is named 'Muhammad'
Topics: Understanding IslamWhen is enough of something, enough? Frankly, I've heard enough about Muhammad controversies and Muslim sensitivities. Are we in the 21st century or the Middle Ages?
Apparently, there is a particular ideology/religion/political system/ad-nauseum that hasn't yet figured that out!
I have to admit that there are more days than not that I share Michael Savage's sentiments. As Mark Steyn has written:
The Muslim faith, whatever its merits for the believers, is a problematic business for the rest of us. There are many trouble spots around the world, but as a general rule, it's easy to make an educated guess at one of the participants: Muslims vs. Jews in "Palestine," Muslims vs. Hindus in Kashmir, Muslims vs. Christians in Africa, Muslims vs. Buddhists in Thailand, Muslims vs. Russians in the Caucasus, Muslims vs. backpacking tourists in Bali."From Nigeria to Sudan to Pakistan to Indonesia to the Philippines, some of the worst, most hate-driven violence in the world today is perpetrated by Muslims and in the name of Islam." So, my Muslim friends, please show us the real Islam, is it a religion of unbridled intolerance, violence and extremism, or is it something else?
