About That Nuclear Plant Lockdown! (Updated)
Topics: TerrorismAccording to officials, a contract employee at the largest nuclear plant in the nation was stopped at a plant entrance today with a "relatively small" explosive device in his truck. A spokesman for Arizona Public Service Company, which owns the plant, described the device as a "pipe bomb."
I share the same concerns as does Atlas Shrugs: What is the worker's name and what are his affiliations? Likely, this will turn out to be no big deal, but on the other hand - what kind of nutcase drives into a nuclear facility with a pipebomb?
Update: The guy's name is Roger William Hurd, 61, and he claims he doesn't know how the bomb got in his truck. So, is Roger Hurd a victim of a terrorist trying to sneak a bomb onto nation's largest nuclear power plant, or is he a very inept wannabe ? Given his age, the guy could be telling the truth - the pipe bomb was simply laying in the back of his pickup.
