High School Bans American Flag (Updated)

Update: Hobbton High School Lifts Flag Ban: Superintendent Dr. L. Stewart Hobbs, Jr said they have lifted the ban on flags and "from this point on, all dress code changes will be made at the school board level." It turns out, Dr. Hobbs is very pro-American, and this issue was a snafu compounded by a prinicpal at one school, plus the ACLU.

Hobbton High School in Newton Grove, NC still flies the American flag in front of the school:

But you can't wear any clothing at Hobbton High with an American flag on it, and yesterday a student wanted to show the stars and stripes on the sixth anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks - and was not allowed to do so!.

And the reason for this ridiculous prohibition?

They don't want to be put in the position of choosing one flag over another!

Is this not America and aren't we Americans? Haven't we allowed the liberal progressives is this country to run political correctness waaaaaay too damned far!
