CAIR, As Always, Busy 'CAIR-ing' For Jihad

Topics: Terrorism

Explosive%20suspects.jpgIf you haven't been keeping up with the news on the indictment of the two Egyptian students enrolled at the University of South Florida (unaffectionately referred to by some as "Jihad University" - Sami al-Arian's former "stomping grounds") found with explosives near the Goose Creek Navy base in South Carolina, you might want to catch up with the latest over at Michelle Malkin's place, where you'll find that the Investigative Project has a report alleging that one of the suspects - Ahmed Abdellatif Sherif Mohamed, 24, has been arrested previously in Egypt on terrorism-related charges.

... Ahmed Abdellatif Sherif Mohamed, 24, an engineering graduate student and teaching assistant at the Tampa-based university, faces terrorism charges for teaching and demonstrating how to use the explosives.

According to officials familiar with the case, Mohamed has been arrested previously in Egypt on terrorism-related charges. He is said to have produced an Internet video showing how to build a remote-controlled car bomb.

And as one might expect, terrorist-supporting CAIR through it's radical Islam-apologist, Ahmed Bedier, spokesman for the Tampa chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), has been quick to defend the pair of alleged terrorists. You'll recall that Bedier was the unofficial media spokesman for al-Arian, the North American leader of the Palestininan Islamic Jihad. At the Counterterrorism Blog, Walid Phares comments on the CAIR connection and the need for analysis of the jihadist ideololgy that seems to bring CAIR together with the indicted USF students (hat tip - Powerline).
