Michigan Man Fined for Using Coffee Shop's Wi-Fi Network
Topics: InternetFined $400 and given 40 hours of community service for accessing an open wireless Internet connection outside a coffee shop, this poor guy's a case study for requiring prosecutors and the police to have - and use - common sense. The coffee shop owner wasn't the one that filed the charges, and even said if the guy been inside his shop he'd have allowed him to use the WiFi even if he didn't buy anything.
