Breaking: Body Believed To Be Kelsey Smith Found (Updated - Suspect Arrested)

Latest on arrest of suspect: OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (AP) - Police have arrested a suspect in the abduction and slaying of 18-year-old Kelsey Smith. Overland Park Police Chief John Douglass says 26-year-old Edwin Hall of Olathe is in custody in Johnson County Jail pending formal charges. Johnson County District Attorney Phill Kline says the state will ask for a 5 million dollar bond. Kline says Hall's first appearance may be tomorrow but is more likely to be on Friday. Earlier today, searchers found a body at Longview Lake near Grandview, Missouri, they believed to be that of Smith. She disappeared Saturday from a Target parking lot in Overland Park. Officers were searching at the lake after tracing signals from Smith's cell phone.
Via Fox News: Hall will be charged on Thursday morning with pre-mediated first degree murder and aggravated kidnapping charges.

Sources have confirmed for FOX 4 that a suspect was in custody on Wednesday night in the death of Kelsey Smith. A news conference is scheduled for 11:30 p.m. FOX 4 will have more information on this story as it develops.Video here.

Just breaking on Fox cable: A body believed to be that of Kelsey Smith has been found 20 miles from the target store where she was abducted. The police tracked her cell phone to the area.

Kelsey graduated from high school only two weeks ago, and her whole life was in front of her. This tragedy tears at the hearts of all parents, and we all can empathize with the terrible heartache Kelsey's parents are now going through.
