Video: Murtha says Petraeus Is A 'Political Hack' (Updated)

Topics: Political News and commentaries

On "Hardball" last night, John "Jack ABSCAM" Murtha bashed Gen. Petraeus, claiming he only came to Washington to "make political statements" and "only talks to the news media." (Video at Hot Air). Apparently he forgot to check in with the many Democrats, and over 200 law makers, including Dems Hoyer, Levin, and Clyburn, who apparently managed to attend Petraeus' briefings with Congress.

This is the same surrender monkey Murtha that accused our Marines of "killing in cold blood"?

May 18th 2006 - John Murtha Tells Chris Matthews on Hardball that US Troops have "killed in cold blod." This was before the troops have even been charged with a crime. At this point they are only being held on wittness accounts of this. Witnesses which are currently believed to be enemy combantants. This for political points - and he had not the foggiest clue of the real facts on the ground - and not an iota of evidence relating to "stress" - as he charges, being involved.

And the same John Murtha caught in the Abscam Scandal - caught on tape and never indited:

A pathetic human being.

Update: John at Powerline notes that what makes Murtha's comments so odd (about Iraq not being involved in the war against al-Qaeda) is that al Qaeda itself has repeatedly said that Iraq is the biggest battlefield in their war against civilization:

In July 2005 Zawahiri wrote to Zarqawi:
I want to be the first to congratulate you for what God has blessed you with in terms of fighting battle in the heart of the Islamic world, which was formerly the field for major battles in Islam's history, and what is now the place for the greatest battle of Islam in this era...
Democrats like Murtha are so committed to surrender that they feel constrained to deny the obvious fact that our precipitous withdrawal from Iraq would hand al Qaeda a victory of historic proportions.
