'The Great Jules Crittenden'
Topics: Political News and commentariesThat's how Dean Barrett at Hugh Hewitt refers to Jules in explaining that when Jules was just a writer for the Boston Herald, even Dean had never heard of him even though his newspaper was located in his hometown. Now he has, and he credits Jules' blog, Forward Movement, as the reason for Jules having established himself as a nationally known writer and content provider.
You can read more of what Dean has to say in his essay on new vs. old media and the need for mainstream print writers and newspapers to aggressively establish themselves on the Internet - ">here.
Then catch Jules response here.
Since I recall Jules first steps on the Internet, I concur with Dean. Only I would add "bold" and "forward looking" to Dean's "great," which, by the way, makes the name of Jules' blog, Forward Movement, all the more appropriate, although I believe the name stems from Jules' experience as an embed in Iraq.
