NC Atty General: 'Duke Lacrosse Players Innocent Of All Charges'

Topics: Human Interest

[Image at right: False accuser Crystal Gail Mangum - a "nappy-headed ho" (no PC apologies offered here to Sharpton, and none coming).

One blogger says of her that it would be difficult to find a single male in Durham with whom she did not have sexual relations with except the three defendants David Evans, Reade Seligmann, and Collin Finnerty. She's now the poster girl for revoking rape-shield laws. Prosecuting attorney Mike Nifong knew this, yet lied about DNA evidence that would have cleared them.].

Fact: Mike Nifong, who rigged the investigation, had it all wrong, the liberal media that convicted the students before they ever came to trial had it all wrong, 100 professors at Duke University had it all wrong, the Duke University administration that behaved outrageously, had it all wrong, and many members of the community, especially the Black community, were wrong as hell!

The North Carolina attorney general's office has announced that after a 12-week investigation it was dropping all charges against David Evans, Reade Seligmann, and Collin Finnerty, including sexual assault and kidnapping.

lacrosse%20players%20innocent.jpg"The result of our review and investigation shows clearly that there is insufficient evidence to proceed on any of the charges," North Carolina Atty. Gen. Roy Cooper said in a nationally televised news conference.

"Today we are filing notices of dismissal for all charges," he said. "The result is that these cases are over, and no more criminal proceedings will occur."

"We believe that these cases were the result of a tragic rush to accuse and a failure to verify serious allegations," he said. "Based on the significant inconsistencies between the evidence and the various accounts given by the accusing witness, we believe these three individuals are innocent of these charges."

Cooper was especially harsh about the role of Durham County Dist. Atty. Mike Nifong, calling him a "rogue."

"There were many points in this case where caution would have served justice better than bravado," he said.

[...] "This case shows the enormous consequences of overreaching by a prosecutor," Cooper said. "I propose a law that the North Carolina Supreme Court have the authority to remove a case from a prosecutor in limited circumstances. This would give the courts a new tool to deal with a prosecutor who needs to step away from a case where justice demands."

Asked whether an apology was owed to the three lacrosse players, Cooper said:

"I think a lot of people owe a lot of apologies to other people. I think that those people ought to consider doing that."

More here ...

Take home question: Who is going to give these guys back the 395 days they lost, and who's going to give them back their reputation? Nifong, his entire office, the City of Durham, and the State of N.C., have tarnished these guys reputation for life.

Here is a timeline of events in the Duke lacrosse investigation.

I dunno if it's liberal media as it is the show that Nifong put up that caught the media's attention. It's like a burning building, no one has a bias when they gather around to stare, but boy is it one hell of a show.

You're right about the show part, darter9000, and Nifong put on a show for his own political purposes at the expense of the Duke lacrosse players.

I am so relieved for these young men and their families whose lives were almost destroyed by all the overzealous rush to judgement, not only on the part of the prosecutor but of the media, on account of race and political correctness, to convict them just because they were young white affluent males and their accuser was a Po' Lil' black "nappy haired Ho" (Kudos for being politically incorrect Richard), while the Black Panthers invaded the Campus wanting to lynch them (and or any other "whiteys" that got in their way or looked at them askance), while the same Reverend Sharpton doing all the race-baiting and the inflaming on the Don Imus case now, was then howling for their blood and shouting for their conviction!

Ironic isn't it, Al Sharpton (there is nothing
"Reverend" about the shyster) so upset about Imus' use of the term "nappy haired ho", and it turns out these young Duke players were wrongfully accused, and almost wrongfully prosecuted, due in fact to the false accusations of a, guess what, "nappy haired ho," who to boot was providing dubious sexual services, and if not a prostitute, at least was overly promiscuous with the semen of any number of men in and on her - amply doing justice to the epithet!

Apparently one of the motives that may have influenced District Attorney Nifong to pursue the case in spite of all the discrepancies, the exculaptory evidence he repressed, and the obvious lack of any DNA evidence pertaining to the players (plenty of DNA evidence from others though), was his sucking up to the black community just prior his re-election, again playing the race card like Sharpton and the other welfare pimps involved, carrying out a "whitey witch hunt" to keep the bloodlust of the black rabble satisfied. What a monumental miscarriage of justice!

But what is most alarming is how even the likes of Bill O'Reilly seems intimidated by this new found "ultra sensitivity" concerning almost everything black.

In today's Factor, unbelievably on the same day covering the dismissal of the racially charged Duke Lacrosse Team / Nifong fiasco, Bill invited Al Sharpton on the program to discuss the on-going Imus incident which Reverend Sharpton has so grossly inflamed and scandalized.

Yet the otherwise "in your face," ascerbic Bill, disingenuously failed to confront the so called Reverend, with how back at the beginning of the Duke Lacrosse case he was howling for the blood of these young men - who have now been declared innocent - calling them "privileged white males who raped and abused this young black woman and must be prosecuted," inflaming the situation in a manner similar to that which he is now employing with Imus, doing all the racial hate-mongering, and playing the race card, not giving the young men accused the presumption of innocence until proven guilty, but rather judging them in the same "Monkey Court" (no pun intended, as that would be offensive to our cousins, the lower primates, and I'm sure Jane Goodall would object) of public opinion, and through the same "media frenzy circus," in which he now is overkilling Imus for his lame remark.

Which makes me wonder: Is there a pattern of racial-baiting here that O'Reilly missed? Or did he simply chose not to pursue it and confront the Reverend about it, judging it prudent to stay in the Reverend's good graces during all this upheaval, lest something similar to what is going on with Don Imus may be unleashed upon him by this "nappy haired racist ho" Al Sharpton?!?!

One can only guess...

Post Scriptum:

After seeing the picture of the accuser, I must come to the conclusion that the Duke Lacrosse players must have been more "plastered" than they want to admit. Otherwise, if sober, though cleared of the charges, we would still have to prosecute them for "Felonious Bad Taste"!

I mean, take a look at the picture. Unless really drunk and stupefied, why else would good looking young men like them want to see such a "nappy haired ho" strip?!?! That is, unless theye were trying to make themselves barf-up all the liquor they'd ingested...

I was thinking the very same thing!!!!!

Is anyone holding their breath waiting for Jessie Jackson to apologize for his comments to Sean Hannity during an interview several months ago when he all but had the Duke players convicted, hung, and left out to rot?

Sharpton and Jackson, the bastards, ought to be ashamed of themselves, but have no conscience. They two are NHW's ....

Do I need to explain?

Posted by: Abdul at April 11, 2007 11:46 PM

No Abdul, but I do enjoy saying it:

The so called "Reverends" (never seen anyone more "irreverent" than they) Jackson, and Sharpton are but welfare pimps exploiting the stigma of the racism and the segregation suffered by black Americans for so long.

They are not interested in overcoming it and in equality, but rather in perpetuating the so called "struggle" to live off of it like the blood-sucking Ghetto-Leeches they are! They are but a hate-mongerers and race-baiters that turn evrything they touch with their "Sharpton Touch" (the "Midas Touch" turned everything King Midas touched to gold. The "Sharpton Touch" turns everything Al Sharpton touches into "nappy headed" feces)into a quote: "racial issue."

Yes Abdul. I'd be glad to explain it in your place! Reverends Jesse Jackson, and Al Sharpton are nothing but "nappy haired race whores."

There. I feel much better now.
