Has The American Objective In Iraq Failed?
Topics: Political News and commentariesHas the American objective in Iraq failed? Senator Harry "Al-Qaeda" Reid and other Democratic leftist ideologues and demagogues in Congress will have you believe so!
Reid has even gone as far as to categorically proclaim that "the war is lost" - to the aid and abetting of Al-Qaeda, to whom Reid is basically saying: "Hang in there! We Democrats are doing everything in our power to surrender, and our troops will soon retreat in defeat"- while he denies to our soldiers fighting there even the supplies and bullets with which to defend themselves and survive in the battlefield!
Certainly things in Iraq have not gone well. For one, President Bush's fallacious belief that "all people long for freedom and democracy," has proven to be at best naive - it would have fared far better in Iraq had the US placed a "strong man" in power to oversee the gradual transition to democracy after so many years of tyranny and keep the Iraqis in check, rather than the populist chaos that has ensued in pursuit of an American-styled democracy!
Things did not go as they should have. Some of it was due to poor planning, some of it due to mismanagement, some due to the recalcitrant nature of the Iraqis themselves. Most of it, though, has been due to the unrelenting campaign being waged on the media from day one, incessantly for five years, defaming, scandalizing, and inflaming the situation with all the pessimistic and negative reporting, and the unceasing torrent of images pouring out of our TV sets of savage bloodshed and carnage - meant to horrify us, invariably influencing negatively the perceptions of the conflict here at home and all across the world!
The American objective in Iraq has not failed, but if it eventually does, it is thanks to the left-wing "Mainstream" media, the anti-war crowd, the peace-mongerers, the hate-America crowd within our own country, and these traitorous Democrats now holding the reins of power in Washington, who have so deviously worked towards such an end, hungry to discredit the President and his Administration in order regain political power!
Even while the Iraqis danced on the streets of Baghdad celebrating the fall of Saddam, the lefty pessimists, the naysayers, and the anti-war crowd - with the help of their media buddies - were already making mountains out of mole hills, creating scandals about missing weapons caches, and criticizing the war at every turn on the slightest pretext - it used to be outrage at the looting going on in Baghdad after the fall of Saddam, and about lax security at Museums!
Their campaign has been pervasive and unrelenting, night after night on our TV screens and in the media. They are the ones who made of their "where are the weapons of mass destruction" whining, and of their often prophesied "sectarian violence" self-fulfilling prophecies!
They have helped incite the violence and the carnage with all their inflammatory and seditious reporting such as with all the hooplah about the so called Abu Ghraib prison scandal - even though the Military was already investigating the matter long before it became public, and was already in the process of Court Martialing those responsible!
If American objectives yet fail in Iraq, if our troops are yet forced to pull-out in defeat with their tails between their legs, it is not because our soldiers lost the war. It is not because our military - the best trained and equipped in the history of the world - has failed us, but as with Vietnam, because we failed them! It will be due to the traitors amongst us, who have worked against us since the war began! Like vultures they circle on a death-watch over all things Iraq...waiting to gloat in the offal of all their treachery and betrayal, celebrating their petty partisan political gains!
