Harry al-Reid And The Dems: The Gift That Keeps Giving - 'To al-Qaeda' (Updated)

Topics: Political News and commentaries

Harry Reid just delivered a troop morale booster:

"I believe ... that this war is lost, and this surge is not accomplishing anything, as is shown by the extreme violence in Iraq this week," - Harry Reid
AHarry.gifAfter my usual long day here, I've just squeezed-in a little time to see who among the "negotiate the terrorists into submission" Democrats has come up with the latest political aid and comfort for America's enemies: al-Qaeda in Iraq, Iran, and of course the other nutcases - those so-called, nebulous (at least for the MSM) - "insurgents."

Today's winner is Harry al-Reid, today's loser is once again me and the thousands of other men and women serving in Iraq. I didn't know that Harry is a military genius and an authority on the kind of warfare that we're engaged in here in Iraq. Hell, we're here and we're still learning. So you can imagine my surprise when I hear this clown announce to our enemy that victory is within their reach if they only keep up the killing a little longer. In doing so, the SOB Reid has emboldened the Islamowhackos and more U.S. men and women are killed in the process. In my mind Harry Reid and his Democratic friends are now responsible for every single American life lost in Iraq from this point forward.

Jed Babbin explains at Human Events.com what Harry and his friends appear to be far too 'freakin' naive to be capable of comprehending: Harry Reid, Loser

Let's be plain: we are at war with those who adhere to radical Islam. It is an ideology, not a religion. Our goal is not -- cannot -- be to implant democracy in the Middle East. Democracy is a system of government not, as the neocons say, a weapon. We must defeat the enemy by defeating his ideology and compelling -- by violent means as may be necessary -- those nations who support the terrorist to stop doing so. When that task is done, the war is won. And not one moment before.

What, then, is the import of what Sen. Reid said? First, Reid and his ilk do not support the troops. When Reid says the war is lost, the troops hear. They understand that they are still risking their lives every day for a war the Democrats are content to lose. There can be no more destructive assault on their morale. It is only because of their inherent quality -- much higher than the draftees of Vietnam -- that they don't abandon the field.

Harry Reid needs to know that when we come home the Islamowhackos come right behind us.

So, hell, Harry, give us the time and the tools to finish our job, and then we'll go home when the jobs done. I realize that since Vietnam that hasn't been the Democratic Party's way, but that's the American way, Harry. Try hard to understand that although it really sucks here, we're willing to do the time and risk our lives to do what needs to be done to eliminate Iraq as a base for spreading Islamofascism all over the damned world. Personally, I've got a kid on the way at home, a beautiful wife that loves and misses me, friends and parents that would rather I be there then here, and besides, Harry, let's face it, this place is dangerous. But I keep volunteering to be here so we can finish the damned job we started. In the mean time all you have to do Harry is keep your wussy mouth shut and stop giving gifts to the people that are trying to kill us. We'll take it from there.

In the way of an update and a post script, check out this piece by some guy that apparently 'get's it': Harry Reid: Peddling White Flags and Loss of Hope.

Islamofascists all over the globe have been gifted with terrific news (from their perspective) about the Iraq theater of the war on terror by a leading Democrat in the United States government.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid extended a white flag of surrender to all enemies of the United States, current and future, with the following pathetic public comment:

"I believe ... that this war is lost, and this surge is not accomplishing anything, as is shown by the extreme violence in Iraq this week," Reid told journalists.
Ever since the Vietnam War, Democrats have been perceived as weak on defense, anti-war, and of dubious patriotism.
I like that description for the Dems, it fits: "weak on defense, anti-war, and of dubious patriotism."
