Islamists Sack Oxford (and 48 other British universities)

In yet another indication of radical Islam's foothold in Britain, Prof Anthony Glees, the director of Brunel University's Center for Intelligence and Security Studies, is warning that leading universities including Oxford and Cambridge have been targeted by Islamic extremists who remain widely active on campuses.

Apparently, up to 48 British universities have been infiltrated by fundamentalists, and Prof. Glees is saying the threat posed by radical groups must be "urgently addressed." Although the Higher Education Minister claims that the problem is not widespread, he admits that "Violent extremism in the name of Islam is a real, credible and sustained threat to the UK and there is evidence of a serious, but not widespread risk of violent extremism in the name of Islam on our university campuses."

Sound like anything we've heard before? Think SFSU. and many other American universities.

Should we be alarmed at the movement of the Islamists into American society? I suggest that the answer is a strong yes. the concepts of state, citizen, nation, pluralism and tolerance are alien to Islamists, and secular Muslims are just as alarmed as every freedom-loving American should be.

As Frank Pastore wrote at Townhall back in February: "Americans are alarmed by the advance of Islam into our society, and properly so, for who will assimilate to whom? Could a Muslim have written the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights, the Constitution? Does Islam believe in the separation of church and state, that all men are created equal, that there should be no religious test for political office holders, that government ought to be secular?" The answer, of course, is no!

Meanwhile, in a decision that reveals the state of denial on American campuses, the editorial board of the Georgica Tech student paper - The Georgia Tech Technique -- has rejected an ad from the Terrorism Awareness Project, warning students about the threat that radical Islam poses to America (as have other universities across America, such as Purdue, the University of Pennsylvania, and the University of Michigan).
