Chinese Blogger's Wife: 'Yahoo Betrayed My Husband'

With a trembling voice, Yu sits in the dining room of a small house in Fairfax and weeps softly."Yahoo betrayed my husband and deprived him of freedom."The real culprit here is the Chinese government, since companies have to follow the laws of the countries they operate in, and often, such as with China where personal freedoms are not protected, foreign corporations such as Yahoo end up in the unfortunate position of helping an oppressive government keep its citizens under control.
And Yu's husband's big crime? "Advocating (in his e-journals) for open elections, a multi-party system and separation of powers in the government," which is apparently a crime in China.
