Australian Muslim Group Bans 5 Clerics From Talking To The Media
Topics: Understanding IslamThe Lebanese Muslim Association, an Australian Muslim group who oversees Australia's largest mosque, has banned five Australian clerics from media appearances for making "un-Australian" comments. Apparently they risk losing their positions at the nation's largest mosque:
Of particular concern is what the association calls the "double speak" of clerics - where they say one thing to Australia's English-speaking media and then adopt a more radical stance when dealing with Arabic-speaking journalists.Notice that the Muslim Association apparently only cares about what is said to Australia's English-speaking media, and doesn't give a damn about the clerics preaching hate, violence, and intolerance in the mosques, where they speak Arabic.
