Are The Democrats Imploding?
Topics: Political News and commentariesOne has to wonder if in spite of all their gains and efforts, and all their bravado, the Democratic Party may not be actually self-imploding presently unto the rotten far-leftist core at its center, unable to hold up its homogeny; much like a lustering white sepulcher glistening on the outside, full of all uncleanliness and abominations on the inside, collapsing, caving in on itself.
The Democrats and their allies have waged successfully a campaign of relentless media bias, massive anti-Bush propaganda, and sensational anti-war agenda-driven news blitzes on our TV screens and print media showing nothing but the gore and carnage in Iraq, and calling the war a failure from the very start, for years now, since the very beginning of the conflict. They've done so with the help of their mouthpieces at the liberal media, Democratic-sympathizing liberal journalists, and the liberal "Elites" in control of the print and entertainment industries and Hollywood.
This "cabal" culminated in creating and fueling the mass hysteria about the war which led the self-absorbed, apathetic, and fickle American public to elect the traitorous "cut-and-run" Democrats to a majority in Congress in November. Then, after their November coup and their much touted "One Hundred Hours Of Much Ado About Nothing," which accomplished little other than photo-ops for "Queen" Nancy Pelosi (of "Pelosi One"/"Flying Palace" fame) with her gavel, and has resulted in nothing but meaningless non-binding anti-war resolutions that even the Democrats can't agree upon, and in a plethora of 2008 Presidential "wannabes" and upstarts, and in spite of all their gains and perceived victories, yet the Democratic Party seems to be teetering on the brink of their own implosion:
Just last week John Edwards shot himself in the foot and virtually put himself out of the 2008 Presidential race by supporting two feminist staff members in his pay, who posted sacrilegious, highly offensive, anti-Catholic and anti-Christian diatribes on their blogs, in which they used pornographic imagery in allusion to Mary's Immaculate Conception (one of the bulwarks of Catholic Dogma), likening the Holy Spirit to God's "white-hot ramming phallus" which impregnated the Holy Virgin, using salacious orgasmic imagery to mock the Immaculate Conception, and calling it a rape on God's part for which Mary may have wanted to take a "morning after pill," in order to drive home the point they were trying to make in support of their rabid pro-abortion stance.
The incident, and particularly the subsequent adamant refusal by Edwards to fire the staffers after reading what they had written, has outraged not only Catholics and Christians in America and elsewhere, but has elicited condemnation from every corner of the nation - except at leftist NBC, which even went so far as to interview one of the Edwards staffers in question, giving her a further platform from which to spew her sacrilegious venom, and disingenuously giving her a "free-pass" with their lame, soft, sympathetic questioning. One has to wonder if NBC, true to their unabashed left-driven agenda, would have been as eager to interview some other controversial person, who instead of insulting the "sensitivities" of Catholics and Christians (which is safe to do) would have insulted that of other religions, such as Islam for instance, and had mocked, in a similar manner in their blog, some holy tenet of Islam, ascribe such sexual allusions to the Prophet Mohammed, or called him such vile insults as the Edwards staffers did the God of the Christians, His Holy Spirit, and the Virgin Mary, which of course they would have considered "politically incorrect" (unlike bashing Christians), not to mention potentially far more deadly... as in "Kaboom!"
Then there is Democratic Presidential hopeful Joe Biden, who while attending a function in Nevada yesterday, rebuked his fellow Democratic Presidential runners and anti-war Democrats in general, urging them to think about the consequences of what they are asking for, saying: "What after we pull out of Iraq? What after we redeploy our troops? What then? What after we cut the funding to our troops? Have you thought what will happen then? What will be the consequences?"
Biden, one of the harshest critics of President Bush, his policy, and of the war in Iraq, is only pointing the obvious to his fellow Democrats, most of whom, for the most part, strive solely to achieve the defeat and humiliation of Geroge W. Bush and his policies as their goal, out of petty political vendetta and or twisted ideologies, and avidly wish us to lose the war in Iraq as a significant way of achieving their objective, heedless of the consequences to the nation and to the world, and the corollary in human carnage and bloodshed that may result; as happened in the "Killing Fields" of Cambodia after the U.S. pullout and the fall of Saigon.
Also, who can forget the images of a repentant Hillary Clinton wringing her hands at one of her recent so called "Town Hall Meetings," cowering to the anti-war looney left of the Democratic Party, saying to her leftist audience that "if she knew then what she knows now she would not have voted for the war, but that if what those present wanted was someone who had not voted for the war (Obama), or who had repudiated their vote on the war (like Edwards), then she was not their gal"? Priceless!
And now to boot "wham!" The Democrats have been given one hell of a slap in the face when the High Court recently determined that those beloved allies of the Democrats, the Jihadist "enemy combatants" and terrorists they so care about, for whom so many Democratic hearts in Congress have "bled" profusely (such as those of Senators Durbin and Kennedy amongst others), cannot challenge their internment in American courts as in the past, will be tried instead by Military Tribunals, can be held at the President's request (a Bush victory) until cessation of hostilities (which in the case of the War on Terror means indefinitely), and have no right to "Habeas Corpus" since they are not American citizens, own no property in the United States, and therefore are not protected by our Constitution.
On a side note, I wonder if from this ruling it can be extrapolated that by the same token the children of all those Mexican illegal alien mothers (who breed like rabbits), some of whom have scurried pregnant across our southern borders while in labor just to give birth to their litters on this side of the fence, which babies they then use as "Anchor Babies," which serve only for even more Mexicans to gain a foothold from which to further advance their unabated Mexican invasion of our country - not just the American Southwest, their "Aztlan" which was once part of Mexico, but verily from Maine to Washington State, from Florida to California, as a comedian once said from "Sea to shining Sí" (who are presently infesting us like roaches), should therefore not be considered American citizens just simply because they were born on this side of the border, but that since their mothers were not American citizens but illegal aliens at the time of their birth, owned no property in America when they first sneaked across our borders to later give birth to these children here, and their offsprings were born here simply as an incidental result (maybe looney geriatric lefty Susan Sarandon should make a sequel to the "Incidental Tourist" based on the theme and call it the "Incidental Mexican") of their mothers breaking our immigration laws and being illegally in our country at the time of their birth, therefore, just as with the Jihadist terrorists, they have no "Habeas Corpus" and are not protected by our Constitution?
Interesting! What a profound question for legal minds to ponder! Not to mention that such an extrapolation of the recent SCOTUS ruling on "Habeas Corpus", if applied in a similar manner to illegal aliens, would be the Proverbial "slap on the other cheek" to the "Amnesty," open borders, pro-unfettered illegal immigration, "Olé" Democrats and their illegal Mexican "constituency" taking over our country. Give me a break!
The hate-America crowd, the anti-war movement, the rabid left, the "Moveon.orgs," and the anarchists and communist ideologues within the Democratic party, have been salivating, foaming at the mouth, ever since the infamous Democratic victories in November. For years they have been posed to take over the Democratic Party, and now they are virtually at the verge of doing so, even as Moveon.org blatantly proclaimed not long ago, that they felt the Democrats owed their victories to their activists and their leftist apparatus, and so, in their opinion, they "owned" the Democratic Party.
Needless to say, this move to the radical far left of the political spectrum within the core of the Democratic Party is creating havoc amongst Democrats. It is unsettling many within the Party, like Hillary, who now must shuffle perilously to the left in order to garnish support from the anti-war radicals, which at the same time further alienates her even more from the more moderate centrist elements within the Party. Not to mention that such on-going leftist further radicalization (Democrats are plenty radical now) of the Democrats will likely estrange most American voters, and may very well spell doom for Democratic hopes of a Presidential win in 2008 in the end. And one has to wonder, if even with their wins in November, and with things going on badly in Iraq which favors them, and with all the gains they've made on account of Republican cowardice, self-interest, and banality, the Democrats seem not to be able to get their act together, held hostage by the Marxist ideologues, the anti-war radicals, and plain traitors in their midst, when will they?!?!
All in all, if all the disarray, the fracturing, the ideological internecine warring, the dissipation, and all the radical leftist madness driving it all, continues, we may well soon see the Democratic Party unraveling at the seams from within, unable to win the Presidential race in 2008, and even possibly losing their much touted majority once again in Congress. Good!
As for me, I will be smirking in delight, watching from the sidelines, smug with satisfaction: What goes around, comes around...
