"...And Thank You For Flying Pelosi Air."

So, what is wrong with flying First Class on commercial flights? Apparently it is not good enough for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi; neither is the aircraft used by her predecessor Dennis Hastert for that matter. Madam Pelosi will not have anything less than a flying palace befitting her "Imperial persona." Talk about a job going to someone's head!

For someone who mopes so much in public about the "working men and women of America, the poor, and the downtrodden," and who claims to be so concerned about global warming and the environment, the perks that Madam Speaker is demanding at the taxpayer's expense in her Hubris, and that so add to the detriment of our environment are outrageous. Not only is she demanding a flying luxury palace with suites, showers, entertainment centers, a fully equipped kitchen that would make Wolfgang Puck green with envy, and a game room (who would have known Madam Pelosi plays video games?) that is the size of a commercial airliner (Rep. Patrick T. McHenry, a North Carolina Republican, appropriately put it all in context when he labeled the speaker's plane "Pelosi One."), but every time she pops into her flying luxury palace to go back to her home district of "Gay by the Bay" it will cost the taxpayers $300,000 each way or $600,000 round trip, with a crew of 16 waiting on the whims of her "Imperial Highness." Imagine that, blowing over half a million dollars every time Madam Pelosi gets homesick! Glenn Beck hit the nail right on the head when he commented on his program yesterday that "it'd be cheaper to carry 'Queen Pelosi' on a golden litter like Cleopatra."

On each leg of these trips Her Royal Highness' flying luxury palace would burn $30,000 worth of fuel with the consequent huge amounts of CO2 and other noxious gases it will spew into our atmosphere - guess it won't make any difference whether conscientious people take public transportation and leave their cars and suvs behind or not in an effort to help with the environment every time the witch flies her luxury broomstick across the country, negating their conservation efforts with her huge energy footprint. So much for her concerns about global warming.

You can almost hear the voice of Robin Leach describing all the luxury of Madam Pelosi's flying palace in one of his forthcoming programs: "Lifestyles of the Democratic Demagogues and Famous"! Republican Conference Chairman Adam Putnam of Florida put it best when he said Mrs. Pelosi's request represents "an arrogance of office that just defies common sense" and called it "a major deviation from the previous speaker." So much for Nancy Pelosi's "most ethical and transparent congress ever" when it comes to carving perks for her and her Democrat cronies....the hypocrite.

Pelosi argues that she needs the jet for security reasons, being that the imbecility of the American electorate has placed this spaced-out woman (shouldn't they have drug testing in congress, or would that empty the chambers?) who most of the time seems to be lost in some dreamy liberal, secularist, leftist "Lululand" of her own, third in line for the Presidency. But one has to ask what security concerns? Hell, she has nothing to fear from the Jihadists. She and her Democrat cut-and-runner traitors are the biggest allies the Jihadist have in America, and didn't the Jihadists escalate the violence in Iraq just before the November elections in order to help get them elected? It is more likely that Madam Pelosi has more to fear from irate military personnel incensed about the Democrat's continuous betrayal of our military, than from the Democrat's Jihadist allies. Perhaps that is why she dreads having to stop to refuel en route to "Gay Old San Francisco" at some military base in the dreaded American Mid-west.

I say let Pelosi come down her Imperial pedestal and make do with the existing plane that served Speaker Hastert so well, and if not, let her put her money where her mealy mouth is and ride First Class, unlike all those "working men and women, the poor and downtrodden" she so bemoans about, who will be packed like sardines in Coach behind her, while she suffers the "privation" of sipping on Chardonnay and eating steak and lobster in First Class.
