Iran Planning To Expand Role In Iraq

Up to now Iran's role in Iraq has been to fuel the fires of hate and violence, and now, at a time when the Bush administration has been warning the Iranians to stop meddling in Iraqi affairs, Iran is planning to expand "economic and military ties with Iraq." That, of course, is Iranian doublespeak for increased meddling in Iraqi affairs, which would make not only the U.S. unhappy, but also the Saudis, who are very seriously concerned about Iran expanding its power in the region.
