Democrats Don't Need No Stinkin' Republicans

As Democrats prepare to take control of Congress this week, after campaign promises to "restore bipartisanship and openness," we learn from the WaPo that they are planning to "largely sideline Republicans from the first burst of lawmaking." This, while in the same piece we learn that they are expressing concerns as to the extent the Republicans want to join them "in a constructive effort or whether they intend to be disruptive."

"Join them in a constructive effort or whether they intend to be disruptive"? Isn't this the pot calling the kettle black? Has any party ever been more obstructive than the Democrats have been during the past six years - particularly when it comes to national security and immigration issues?
