Tsunami Disaster Aid Money Used To Enforce Sharia Law

Western officials, and as Robert Spencer points out - Colin Powell included, told us that the tsunami relief was going to help Muslims and win over Muslim hearts and minds to be more tolerant and peaceful.

News flash: It didn't work.

Militant Islamists have since imposed sharia law in Aceh and have cornered Indonesian government funds to organise a moral vigilante force that harasses women and stages frequent displays of humiliation and state-sanctioned violence.

Last time I checked, Iran and Syria are chock-full of militant Islamists, yet Spector, Kerry, Dodd, Nelson, and yes - Powell, think we should have a nice Kumbaya with them over Iraq. We shouldn't have listened to our politicians about dealing with terrorists before when we were helping them after a disaster, and we have no reason to listen to their nonsensical advice now.
