New Electoral Debacle And Pelosi's "New Direction" Of Democratic "Transparency" And "Accountability." What A Joke!

Topics: Political News and commentaries

Well, after the disastrous topsy-turvy results of last November's elections, nothing from our "enlightened" American electorate should come as a surprise.

Yet, I cannot help but find it amazing that after having been found caught with the evidence red-handed (or rather frost-bitten), with $90,000 dollars worth of illicit cold cash (literally) stashed in his freezer by the FBI, and still undergoing an intense investigation into charges of bribery and corruption, Congressman William Jefferson (D-La) has just been declared the winner in the run-off elections of December 9th against his opponent Karen Carter, with 57% of the votes.

This only goes to show, that racism is still alive and well in many parts of the country, albeit not coming from the expected traditional sources, but rather originating from this new twisted form of perverse reverse racism, according to which, it doesn't matter if you smoke crack cocaine to be elected Mayor of the nation's capital, or that you are an impeached judge who conspired to take bribes in exchange for letting some powerful kingpins off with lighter sentences, or even that you are a crook in the bag with corrupted high- ranking Nigerian officials in a massive corruption scheme spanning two continents which even involves the Vice President of Nigeria, but that all that matters for you to get elected amongst certain sectors of our population is for you to be black, and a Democrat.

With Mayor Nagin back in charge of the "Chocolate City," and now Jefferson re-elected to represent his constituency, we may well say that all is back to "business as usual" in good 'ole Louisiana - or should that rather read that all is back to "ineptitude and corruption as usual" ?

Congressman Jefferson, who is presently under the investigation of the FBI and other law enforcement agencies for his alleged fraudulent activities, is enmeshed in a corruption scheme that reaches all the way up to the highest echelons of the Nigerian government, involving several high-ranking Nigerian government officials, and even Nigeria's Vice President, Atiku Abubakar.

On a report on "The Blotter" by Brian Ross and Joseph Rhee, according to Nuhu Ribadu, head of the new anti-corruption squad created by the Nigerian President to look into the matter, the FBI provided the Nigerian fraud investigators with the information which has led to Vice President Atiku Abubakar being indicted on 14 counts of corruption, involving tens of millions of dollars allegedly diverted from government accounts. That information was gleaned by the FBI as a result of the investigation into Congressman Jefferson's alleged corruption charges, and directly links him to his co-conspirators in the Nigerian government.

According to Mr. Ribadu: "$23 million of the diverted money is still missing." Ribadu said $6.7 million of the missing funds has been traced to a U.S. company tied to Congressman Jefferson's family. Apparently some of that money obviously grew legs and found its way into Congressman Jefferson's freezer, neatly wrapped in aluminum foil in packages of $10,000 each, and placed in food containers - no doubt to lock the freshness in!

And this is the Nancy Pelosi's so much taunted "New Direction" of "Transparency and Accountability" against the "Culture of Corruption," with the likes of Jefferson, Hastings, "Abscam" Murtha, and gay pimp and homosexual child sexual predator Barney Frank on board?

I would suggest to Ms. Pelosi that she goes over to some of her fellow Democrat's homes, and clean out their freezers first, along with many of their closets, before opening her mealy mouth again about "corruption."

Who knows, perhaps they'll all be flocking soon in desperation to Abrahmoff's prison cell, begging him for some "moral guidance."
