Two Years of Pelosi Gives Good Idea Of What Four Years With Hillary Will Be Like'
Topics: Political News and commentariesNow that's an analogy that's got legs all the way to 08, and apparently, even seasoned Democrats are concerned about the Republicans' ability to tar Hillary by attacking the "way far out left" Pelosi.
However, as Captain Ed points out, there's the message that Republicans have communicated to their base through their leadership elections, that looms over the Republicans, and it must be dealt with:
Republicans had better determine what they want to represent, and then rethink the leadership choices that clearly represent business as usual, if they want to return to the majority in 2008 or beyond.On the balance, my guess is that the Hillary/Nancy analogy will be far out shadowed by the clear message of disdain and disregard for their base, and the cluelessness of the GOP, that was communicated by the Republicans.The only thing that's kept the Republicans from completely dissipating their base of support is the foolishness of the Democrats. Unfortunately, we cannot rely on Nancy Pelosi to pull our chestnuts out of the fire for the next two years. The Republicans had better determine what they want to represent, and then rethink the leadership choices that clearly represent business as usual, if they want to return to the majority in 2008 or eyond.
