Republicans Have Learned Bupkus From Elections

Topics: Political News and commentaries

According to Robert Novak (via Riehl World View), the Republican House members haven't yet got the message from the voters that didn't show up in the recent elections, and are re-electing mostly the same leadership that led them to minority status:

In private conversation, Republican members of Congress blame Majority Leader John Boehner and Majority Whip Roy Blunt in no small part for their midterm election debacle. Yet, either Boehner, Blunt or both are expected to be returned to their leadership posts Friday. For good reason, the GOP often is called "the stupid party."
Dan Riehl puts this in the right perspective by saying, "Stupid is as stupid does."

Dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb. They deserve minority status, and unless they change their way of doing business in Congress - the good ole boy way, they'll be in that position for a long time to come.
