Detroit Metro Terror Suspect Will Stay Locked Up
Topics: Terrorism
A man is arrested at Detroit Metro Airport with $80,000 in cash, data about US nuclear power plants, suitcase bomb instructions, a commemorative edition of a newspaper dated September 11, 2002, and a hand-written threatening note, so you'd think it's a slam-dunk that the guy will not be released, right?
Wrong, it's another re-run of the same old story that we're accustomed to hearing about liberal judges - a federal judge had to overrule a magistrate's decision to release him.
One has to wonder what was going through the magistrate's mind when he tried to release him. The guy had $80,000 in his suitcase - and he's unemployed!
