"A Day Which Will Live In Infamy!"

Topics: Political News and commentaries

Yesterday was a sad day for America! A day which alongside December 7th 1941 will live in "infamy" in the annals of American history! A day which marks the beginning of the decline of our once great nation as assuredly as the Roman's effeminate, hedonistic, refusal to fight off the barbarian hordes ushered the fall of Rome! A day in which cheering Jihadist terrorists and enemies of America all over the world celebrated in triumph the victory of the Democrats in taking over the House in Congress!

It indeed presages very dark times ahead for America, as we once again have fallen in the clutches of those in Washington who hate America, and all it stands for, and will surrender to our enemies; in a deeply divided America which has been infiltrated by the radical, socialist, internationalist, secularist, extremist elements which first reared their ugly heads during the riotous 60s in our campuses, and which have worked their insidious way into, and infected, every niche of American society, even into the halls of Congress!

It bespeaks of the idiocy of perpetuating this "myth" of calling "Democracy" what amounts to nothing more than "mob-rule" by the uninformed, fickle, rabble, manipulated by a sick, negative, "ideology" and "media propaganda" such as we have witnessed during these nefarious elections; such as has been amply proven by the Democrat's victory in these elections, the election of the Hamas terrorists in the Palestinian Territories, and the election of that lunatic extremist Ahmadinejad in Iran, chosen over the more moderate candidate by the Iranian people!

It forebodes times of unprecedented turmoil in America, where anti-terrorist legislation will be rescinded, and our guard will be lowered in the face of the ever-present terrorist threat by the Democrat's "fiat," which will most likely result in another 9/11; an eminent terrorist attack which will wipe-out one of our major cities, while "Democrats" in Congress ponder on the ideological "philosophical niceties" of the " civil rights" of those who wish to destroy us!

It speaks of a reactionary time where, catastrophically, we may well see a second Civil War, or an unheard-of military uprising, looming tenuously somewhere in our possible futures as a nation; as means to which desperate, angry, Americans may recur, in order to shirk off the godless secularist yoke being imposed on them, and shoved down their collective throats by these secularist Democrats!

It is indeed a sad day for America! We may as well brace ourselves, for no good will come from this "ill wind blowing," and this suicidal political travesty in which America has embarked...as lemmings bent on jumping off the ledge of the precipice into perdition! God help us!

So now I see...when Bush wins by a razor thin margin, he has a "mandate." When the AMERICAN PEOPLE have spoken, just like in 2004, but in this case, they got rid of the corrupt, strident Republicans in the House and the Senate, you compare it to Pearl Harbor. Well, as far as I can see, no one has attacked us today.

Please. Don't be a hypcrite. You all gloated in the past elections, and said that the Dems were showing sour grapes. And now look what you're doing.

Get over yourself. You lost, you lost big.

America is the one that has lost big!

The attack will not be long in coming, and when it does it will wipe the smirk of complacency from all your faces!!!

Even now Jihadists are celebrating the victory of their allies the "Demoncrats"! I wonder why?!?!

I really had to chuckle at the ludicrous melodrama of your comments. But aside from a lack of proportion that goes way outside the realm of ordinary silliness, it seems to me that you’re the one who doesn’t respect or understand democracy. Dude, democracy is not getting to have your way with no accountability. It’s not a blank check issued to the GOP.

The Republicans had their asses handed to them because they’ve used the excuse of 9/11 to take political advantage of their countrymen, and people--including many conservatives and independents--are fed up with the B.S. Most people in this country are not extremists for either side. They want the moderation and common sense that has been entirely lacking under this administration and this Congress.

Your purple prose only shows which side it is that is radicalized. You demonize fellow loyal Americans because it’s been seen as being in the narrowest political interests of the right wing extremists who’ve been running the Bush administration and the Republican Party. The people have spoken, but you denigrate their decision as "suicidal political travesty" and mock them as "lemmings." But what else to expect from a political movement that has consistently chosen denial and recrimination whenever they were challenged with reality? Too bad that those who most need a dose of humility are always the last ones to take it.

Regardless of your wing-nut mythology, this election will most likely represent a change of direction back towards the sanity and moderation of the Clinton administration. Because, remember, most of the really bad stuff--including 9/11--has happened under the Bush administration.

But regardless of that, please, keep up with your hilarious sore-loser ranting. It’s making my day.

Althor:

I would not characterize the Democrat victory as infamy. We should just sit back and watch the Democrats in action. They have provide us with a repeat of the soap opera that filled the airwaves with such humor during the lounge lizard's reign.

Relax, we are in for two years of the most hilarious of times.

With Aloha,

In all seriousness, harry, I hope that this election will encourage both parties to turn away from the divisiveness and rancor that have so characterized Rovian politics. There's so much that could be accomplished if both parties could work together. Condemning half of the country as traitors and terrorist appeasers to be reviled and fought against is wrong--it's been a very counter-productive era in our politics, and I think the voters have indicated that they're sick of it. We should all try to get along.

Alas! Those who will in time get a huge dose of
"humility" will be the Democrats, when after repealing the "Patriot Act," dismantling the NSA and other surveillance programs which have kept us safe for five years, and closing Gitmo and letting the Jihadist terrorists go free, the terrorists come back and ram said "humility" up the Democrat's anuses with another devastating 9/11 attack! Now, I'm sure that Democrats are used to having "humility" driven into them in such a manner, as in Nancy Pelosi's San Francisco, but unfortunately the rest of America will also have to suffer the consequences!!!

But true!!!

What are you trying to do, pull a "Galileo" here, in this case with the Democrats in the self-denial role taken then by the Church???

Last time I heard the meaning of "traitor" was : "Anyone who aides and abets the enemy"! Democrats do such "aiding and abetting" on a daily basis! Get real! Who are you trying to kid???

Traitors indeed! They give Benedict Arnold a bad name! Benedict Arnold was at least a distinguished officer and a gentleman...compared to the Democratic scum now taking over the House!

Althor, I'm happy to let your hysterical name-calling and far-fetched doomsday predictions stand as a testament to your own character. I'm in a good mood today and don't want to offend any of the decent and respectful conservatives that need to join with the rest of us to put this country back on the right track.

You need to calm down and get a realistic sense of perspective here. More Americans were killed by terrorism under the Reagan and G.W. Bush eras than under Clinton. We will be quite safe with Democrats running Congress. So please, put the pellet gun and the bullhorn down and come down off the roof before you hurt yourself. You can also take off the life vest--it's past hurricane season now.
