UN Fizzles Again Over North Korea Nuke Blast
Topics: United Nations IncompetenceAlthough we really didn't need more confirmation that the UN is an absolute total waste of U.S. taxpayer money, and completely useless in resolving international crises, a new U.S. draft Security Council resolution circulated last night would authorize only non-military sanctions against North Korea - such as economic penalties, breaking diplomatic relations or banning air travel, and require a new U.N. resolution for any further action - a key demand of China:
"...It also eliminates a previously proposed blanket arms embargo. And it urges North Korea to speedily implement a September 2005 agreement in which it pledged to give up its nuclear program in exchange for aid and security guarantees."Golly gee, this is going to really have the little midget dictator shaking in his boots.
It's time for "Cowboy Diplomacy" to kick back in and it's time for the U.S. to go back to kicking a** and taking names. Reward countries like North Korea and Iran, or just give them a complete pass for bad behavior and threatening international security with nuclear weapons? Are we the only people left in the world with even an iota of common sense?
