The David Zucker Albright Ad (and more) - Not PC Enough For The GOP
Topics: Political News and commentariesDrudge Report has it that the GOP is refusing to air David Zucker's ad that slams Madeleine Albright by portraying her as going out of her way to help North Korea's Kim Jong-il and Osama Bin Laden. Apparently, it's not PC enough for the GOP:
... The DRUDGE REPORT has obtained an exclusive copy of a "scary" campaign advertisement created by Hollywood producer and director David Zucker that was intended to be used by GOP organizations in the closing weeks of the 2006 campaign."Over the top"? I think not - Albright deserves it for her and her party's naivite'. This is political satire, folks, it "ain't hate speech." And although Clinton and Albright's almost childish efforts to appease the North Koreans were, in the words of Secretary Rice, "Worth trying," they didn't work - it was all fizz and no pop - just like N. Korea's nuclear test. Here's the ad:However, the advertisement was deemed "too hot" by GOP strategists all across Washington, DC who have refused to use it!
... One GOP strategist said "jaws dropped" when the ad was first viewed. "Nobody could believe Zucker thought any political organization could use this ad. It makes a point, but it's way over the top."
While we're on the topic of political ads, here's one you won't want to miss from Move America Forward, that spoofs airport security and political correctness - a message the GOP obviously won't understand (Hat tip - Wizbang).:
And while we're still on the topic of political ads, here's one from back in May that you ought to watch; it's a Fox News interview with Move America Forward's Melanie Morgan - talking about Bin-Ladin Carter connections. Morgan closes the interview with a reminder that Jimmy Carter is going around the world undermining our foreign interests when "We are at war." The GOP would probably think this one's not PC enough too - good think Fox did the interview:
