Terrorist's Lawyer Gets Wrist Slap

Topics: Dhimmitude

LynneStewart01.jpgFor her part in aiding the global jihad by disseminating messages from imprisoned World Trade Center bomber Omar Abdel-Rahman, radical leftist lawyer Lynne Stewart has been given an outrageously light sentence - 28 Months.

She had faced up to 30 years in prison, she should have been shot for treason during a time that her country is at war.

Redstate calls it right - "Judge Whimps Out"

Don Surber writes that should anyone need further proof "of the leftist slant of American reporters, one need only look at Tom Hays of the Associated Press reporting on Lynne Stewart awaiting sentencing for aiding and abetting terrorism. His sympathetic portrayal of her ironically is as sexist as it is lefty. ... The lefty press's embrace of this enabler of anarchists is as preposterous as it is passionate, with Gore Vidal asking the judge to "side with our Bill of Rights" by not imprisoning Ms. Stewart." Suber says of the sentence - "She is not charged with being a grandmother. She was not busted for baking cookies. She was convicted of abusing her lawyer-client privilege to help a terrorist communicate with his followers."
