On The Present Democratic "Mindset" And The Safety Of Our Nation In An America Divided By Such Twisted Partisan Ideology!
Topics: Political News and commentariesAs we approach the November elections, the ugliness of the politically charged climate of our nation has become all but too starkly self-evident.
From bitter verbal fist-fights at televised debates between the candidates, and vicious personal attacks; to outrageous political Ads; to the blatant campaign of anti-war, anti-Bush, propaganda by CNN, the MSNBC, the "Pink Alphabet" networks, and the liberal biased "Elite" print media in order to sway the elections in favor of the Democrats; to infirm celebrities thrusting themselves into the fray by appearing on political Ads, playing on the ravages of their illness in order to disingenuously elicit our sympathy rather than address the issues, again, in order to sway the elections in favor of the Democrats; to all the insane "howling for blood" and the sheer madness going on at all the far-left "smear sites" on the web; to activist Judges in our Courts ruling against the will of the people and the Legislation which they have enacted in several States, in order to strike down laws requiring a piece of I.D. be presented to vote, in order to favor fraudulent voting by the Democrats; to such organizations as A.C.O.R.N. openly paying their staffers to register deceased and imaginary voters, and illegal aliens, to again, affect the outcome in favor of Democrats in the upcoming elections! The level of shrillness, viciousness, open hostility, and outright madness, amongst the far-left, the liberals, and in the Democratic Party, is simply appalling!
But what I find even more disturbing is the irrationality and paranoiac mind-set amongst most Democrats, which at this point precludes every possibility of achieving a "rational" dialogue with them in our deeply divided nation, and how delusional and out of touch with reality many of them have become in the intensity of their obsessive "leftists," "secular," "socialist" ideology! Unfortunately, it's not the first time I have personally witnessed this kind of aberrant behavior affecting "en masse" a population of otherwise average, normal, people, many of them highly intelligent and well informed. And from my perspective, it is extremely alarming, because it is indicative of a far more ominous, sinister, root-cause!
Having had the "blessing" of living as a child in Castro's "Communist Paradise" and of having attended my primary schooling there, I have witnessed this kind of irrationality first-hand, which is nothing but the result of "ideological indoctrination."
In the case of Cuba, the government was the one doing the "indoctrination." In the case of the far-left, the liberals, and the Democrats in America, such "indoctrination" has mostly been carried out by the forty years of secular progressive "brainwashing" of our society, which has crept into our Courts, our Public Squares, our media, the curriculum of our schools, and other social institutions, in the form of "political correctness" and other "socialistic," "morally relativistic," secular concepts; which permeates the Academia of our campuses and our Universities since the radical, anarchist, days of the 60's - where its seeds were first planted; and has infected every niche of our governmental bureaucracy at every level; and which like a virus, perpetuates itself by replacing the nucleus of traditional American "core values," with its societally "parasitic one."
To prove the case in point I will cite the following analogy. As a child in school in Cuba, even in first and second grade, we were continuously indoctrinated about how "great and wonderful" Castro's Revolution was. In the face of the scarcity of food, and other basic needs we were facing daily, these "teachers" had the audacity to tell us that we were all better off under Castro's regime, than back when we had plenty, and you could simply go to a store and buy food to put on your table. This ironically reminds me, in reverse, of the present Democratic mindset as exemplified by the continuous bemoaning by Nancy Pelosi, and other Democrats, about "how bad the economy is" in the glaring face of incredible economic growth and a booming economy, spurred by President Bush's tax cuts; the DOW breaking unprecedented new records, going over the 12,000 mark for the first time ever in history; lower unemployment numbers than we have had for decades, both under other Democratic as well as Republican Administrations; inflation and interest rates that remain at all time lows, when most of us grew-up in the days of high inflation and 18% interest rates; and a housing market boom which has made a sizeable portion of our population wealthy, at least in assets!
Any independent observer of such travesty, would immediately be forced to ask in both cases, Cuba's as well as that of today's Democrats: "Are they blind or what?" In the first case, in Cuba, people were standing in line, as my family did, sometimes for days, in front of grocery stores with empty shelves, hoping to be able to be the firsts to get to any shipments of food "rations" that would arrive, before they would run out; literally staving, in what once had been a very prosperous nation where food had been plentiful. And, "we were better off with Fidel" ?!?!
In the other, we have a booming economy such as we have not had for decades, and these cynical Democrats claim the "economy is bad and in a downward spiral" ?!?! In both instances, one has to ask oneself, how is it that people can become so "estranged" from reality, affected by their twisted "ideologies"??? Unfortunately, they do...
In like manner, how can you possibly dialogue with a rabid Democrat about the course we should take in the
"War on Terror" when to begin with to most of them there is no such "thing" and they view the consorted efforts of Islamist Fundamentalist radicals to destroy Israel, America, and the West, and their terrorist threat, as simply a matter for "law enforcement," which by definition, can not act until a "crime," in this case a terrorist attack, has been committed???
How can you reason about the best course of action to take in Iraq, with someone whose arguments are premised, to begin with, on the assumption that 9/11 was an "inside job" by Bush, Cheney, and the Bush White House, which it carried out against our own people in order to have an excuse to go to war in Iraq for oil; and that the Twin Towers were felled by a "controlled demolition," even when Osama Bin Laden and the terrorists themselves have continuously taken credit for the heinous deed claiming it a "victory" against the "Great Shaitan," America, and we all saw those two airliners plunge into the buildings with our own eyes or on our television screens ??? Ah, but of course, their rationalization is that Osama works for Bush!!!
Unbelievable as it may seem, a whopping 33% of Democrats believe in such a "conspiracy theory" according to some polls! How delusively absurd is that?!?!
How can you establish a meaningful conversation with someone who bases his postulates on the premises that "President Bush lied to the American people about Saddam's WMDs," when because of their twisted ideology they blind themselves to the obvious fact, that the faulty intelligence by the CIA and our other Intelligence Agencies, upon which the President and the Administration based their decision to go into Iraq preemptively, was also that shared with us by Blair, Sharon, Schroeder, Chirac, Putin, and their Intelligence Services, and the Intelligence Services of all our other allies, all of whom came to the same conclusion, faulty as it may have turned out to be, that Saddam was indeed beginning to amass anew the Weapons of Mass Destruction which he had already once stockpiled, and previously used in his war with Iran, and even upon his own civilian population???
Then, on top of it all, to make things even more preposterous, they snap in response to the above facts, that: "Well, but they [our allies] did not go into Iraq; we did!" and then add that: "The U.N. 'sanctions' were working just fine"! Working just fine in light of the infamous "Oil for Food" scandal fracas ?!?! How much more asinine than that can you get???
The above may seem patently absurd to anyone not "brainwashed" by such an off-the-wall ideology, however, I personally have had such an exchange with a Democratic ideologue. This kind of total and complete "irrationality" and "circular thinking" on their part, is but all too real and too common amongst Democrats today! Obviously, "rational discourse" with such is utterly futile!
And this poses a question, critical not only to the safety of our country in the face of the ever-present threat of terrorism by the Islamofacist radicals - to whom, to boot, all these deluded Democrats, as we have witnessed by all their recent heated arguments in Congress, wish to grant "Geneva Convention rights," "Constitutional Protections" (even though they are not American citizens and are enemy combatants), "Habeas Corpus" in our Civil Courts, and such rights, privileges, and creature comforts, in their treatment and detention, such as we do not even provide to incarcerated Americans in our prisons, or our own servicemen serving in our military - but verily to our survival as a people and as a nation, which is: "Are these the people to whom, with our votes, we should hand over the responsibility for the safety and well-being of our country in a time of war?!?!
It would seem that to any impartial, pragmatist, not affected by the ravages of such ideological indoctrination as that suffered by most Democrats, the answer would be obvious! Let us hope that such commonsensical people are the ones whose voices will be heard in these upcoming elections, or America may well slip, down a path of no return...
