Foley Sleeze - It Ain't Just For Republicans

That's what a Democrat leadership aide was saying on Wednesday, as word circulated about David Corn's blog posting that revealed that a list of gay Republicans congressional staffers was circulating through emails...True or false? While there can be no question that the Dems have plenty of skeletons of their own, and although the "just weeks before the election" exposure of Foley as a pervert and a sleezeball is so typical of the Democrat's historical MO, finding out that there's a lot more sleeze in politics than we already know about can't be looked at as anything less than bad for American politics. However, this won't stop more from coming out, and it shouldn't, and there can be little doubt that there is at least as much that the Dems don't want known, as the Republicans."If that list is made public, all of the political gains we've made in the past 96 hours get flushed down the toilet," says the leadership aide.
Will all this sleeze influence the elections? Very likely.
But if the American public votes on the sleeze factor of one party or the other, rather than on the likelihood of an administration and a supportive Congress that will protect the country from the radical Islamic fascism that is running rampant throughout the world, the flood of illegal aliens that are crossing our borders, the Islamic extremists that want to murder us, and even with all the mistakes made in Iraq - stay the "much-adjusted" course in order that the terrorists there don't follow our troops home to kill us here - then surely, we will get what we vote for.
After all is said and done, we'll still have the sleeze, it's always there in one form or another - people will be people and the sleezeballs are always among us, in every party, and we will either have an administration and Congress that will save us, or one that will cause our civilizational, cultural, and societal demise.
The November elections are just that important. Foley and other scum like him, are small potatoes in the overall scheme of what the tomorows are going to be like for our loved ones.

Hawaii Democrats Pay for Foley Scandal
Sen. Daniel Inouye Named in one of “Top Ten” Sex Scandals

Evidence is emerging that Democrat operatives may have held transcripts of resigned Florida Republican Congressman Mark Foley’s salacious instant messaging conversations and emails for months if not years in hopes of using them in an “October surprise” in order to defeat Republicans at the polls.
The danger posed to underage Congressional pages is obvious -- but what is only now becoming evident is the danger to sitting Democrat Senators and Congressman as old sex-scandals re-emerge.
The media frenzy is having unintended consequences for Democrats here in Hawaii. One example is renewed media interest in a scandal involving Senator Daniel Inouye (D-HI). In recent days the Washington Post has included mention of an alleged 1975 incident involving Inouye which came to light in 1992:

“Sen. Daniel Inouye (D-Hawaii) - In October 1992, Republican Senate nominee Rick Reed began running a campaign commercial that included a surreptitiously taped interview with Lenore Kwock, Inouye's hairdresser. Kwock said Inouye had sexually forced himself on her in 1975 and continued a pattern of sexual harassment, even as Kwock continued to cut his hair over the years. Inouye, seeking a sixth term, denied the charges. And Kwock said that by running the commercial, Reed had caused her more pain than Inouye had. Reed was forced to pull the ad, and while many voters took out their anger on the Republican, Inouye was held to 57 percent of the vote – the lowest total of his career. A week later, a female Democratic state legislator announced that she had heard from nine other women who claimed Inouye had sexually harassed them over the past decade. But the women didn't go public with their claims, the local press didn't pursue the story, and the Senate Ethics Committee decided to drop the investigation because the accusers wouldn't participate in an inquiry.”
Based on the same incident, Dan Inouye is named one of the "top 10" Democrat Congressional Sex scandals by Human Events magazine.

Democrats are hoping that they can use the Foley scandal against Republicans in the November elections. But this is not 1992 nor is it 1975. The story is playing out on the Internet, not in 30 minute nightly news broadcasts from ABC, NBC and CBS. The days when “the local press didn’t pursue the story” are over.
Comment: Scandal-mania commences! Backdoor Dan Inouye had an alleged affair with his haidresser. Of course, he denied it. Then, the gal took a certified lie detector test. She passed. Backdoor Dan Inouye dismissed the lie detector test an unreliable ... after he had just voted for the approval of the use of lie detection results in military appeals courts. Naturally, during the heyday of the culture of corruption, the overwhelming, Democrat, political prowess in the Shogunate of Hawaii refused to entertain the case.
