So What Did Ahmadinejad Really Say At The End Of His Speech That The Media Failed To Tell Us?

Let's get right down to it, no pussyfooting around - Mahmoud Ahmadinejad threatened the end of the world within two years, and the media doesn't think we need to know that. From the description of the transcript at Judeoscope.ca:
In his speech, he criticized the new world order that has emerged in contemporary times as shown in global interactions where "certain powers equate themselves with the international community and whose decisions are to be controlling over those of 180 others." Following is the full text of President Ahmadinejad's speech at the General Assembly: "In the name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful. Praise be to God and peace be upon Prophet Mohammad and His Infallible Household and chosen disciples. O God, hasten the reappearance of the Imam of the times and grant to us victory and prosperity. Include us among his followers and martyrs.As put by Rush Limbaugh (at least we know we're not getting a moonbat analysis):
... Ahmadinejad offered two or three prayers last night, opened up with one, dear Almighty God, bless us and all in this hall. That close that Ahmadinejad gave is a reference to his belief that the 12th Imam is near. In his religion, the 12th Imam will show up in Iran someplace -- I forget the name of the place -- and when he does, that's the end of the earth. The 12th Imam comes and cleanses the earth by getting rid of everybody, and he believes that it's going to happen in the next two years.Maybe Rush's analysis is a bit rough around the edges, but he's right on. Hugh Hewitt refers to Ahmadinejad's call for the return of the 12th Imam - chilling:... So Ahmadinejad basically goes to the UN last night to pray for the end of the world, and if you have any background you know he wants it to happen in his lifetime during his leadership in Iran. Nothing gets reported. The headlines are Iran tells the UN nuclear program peaceful, Iran president says Bush pushing for war. I found the transcript of the whole speech. It's much too long to read to you. But just trust me, whatever you're reading about it, whatever you're seeing on television doesn't even come close to the import of what Ahmadinejad said last night.
... Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, has reportedly told his cabinet that he expects the Mahdi to arrive within the next two years. Mehdi Karrubi, a rival cleric, has reported that Ahmadinejad ordered that his government's platform be deposited in a well at Jamkaran where the faithful leave messages for the hidden imam. Such gestures are one reason some Iranian clerics quietly say they are worried about a leader who has become the foremost public advocate of Iran's nuclear program. 'Some of us can understand why you in the West would be concerned,' a young mullah here told me last week. 'We, too, wonder about the intentions of those who are controlling this nuclear work.'"
Chilling. He asserted that the US was behind the Hezbollah-Israel War, repeatedly attacked the legitimacy of the State of Israel, and made a lengthy attack on the legitimacy of the Security Council. "Is it appropriate to expect this generation to submit to[to the Security Council]?" he asked, and demanded the General Assembly take on the reform of the UN and equip others with the veto power.He closed with a disturbing heartfelt appeal/prayer, which is a warning to the West: "I am emphatically declare that today's world more than ever before longs for just and righteous people with love for all humanity, and above all longs for the perfect, righteous human being and the real savior who has been promised to all peoples and who will establish justice, peace and brotherhood on the planet. [The Twelfth Imam] Oh Almighty God, all men and women are your creatures and you have ordained their guidance and salvation. Bestow upon humanity that thirst for justice, the perfect human being promised to all by you, and make us among his followers among those who strive for his return and his cause."
Ahmadinejad is setting up Iran to defy the Security Council, and is establishing a precedent for all future rogue regimes. If the Security Council does not rebuke this challenge and impose sanctions, the organization, teetering on the brink of irrelevance, will fall over that cliff.
As Debbie at Right Truth descibes Ahmadinejad:

Chavez may be crazy, but Ahmadinejad is religiously crazy -- a man on a religious mission to bring on the end of the world as we know it.As Debbie noted in August, the mullahcracy that runs Iran belongs to the apocalyptic Hojjatieh sect, a branch of Shia Islam so radical it was banned in 1983 by Ayatollah Khomeini. Their views are, to put it mildly, are startling:
...rooted in the Shiite ideology of martyrdom and violence, the Hojjatieh sect adds messianic and apocalyptic elements to an already volatile theology. They believe that chaos and bloodshed must precede the return of the 12th Imam, called the Mahdi. But unlike the biblical apocalypse, where the return of Jesus is preceded by waves of divinely decreed natural disasters, the summoning of the Mahdi through chaos and violence is wholly in the realm of human action. The Hojjatieh faith puts inordinate stress on the human ability to direct divinely appointed events. By creating the apocalyptic chaos, the Hojjatiehs believe it is entirely in the power of believers to affect the Mahdi's reappearance, the institution of Islamic government worldwide, and the destruction of all competing faiths.Quoting Hugh Hewitt again - "Chilling."
And if by some chance you've failed to grasp the gravity of the situation we find ourselves in with Iran and it's president, here's a closer for you that appeared on August 23rd at the Daily Mail:
... So why shouldn't Iran have nuclear bombs to deter attack from the 'Great Satan', America, let alone the two 'Little Satans', Israel and Britain? Sounds reasonable. But that pre-supposes that the Iranian regime is reasonable.I call all this sufficiently "chilling" that had you started reading this post completely stoned or blind drunk, you'd now be sober as a nun in church....The mullah-mafia lied through their teeth for 18 years, denying they had a nuclear programme, despite their obligations under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.
...And all the evidence shows that they are lying now when they say they only want nuclear power for 'peaceful energy purposes', despite sitting on some of the largest oil reserves in the world.
...But, alas, there's nothing which we would recognise as 'reasonable' about President Ahmadinejad, the small, bearded blacksmith's son from the slums of Tehran - who denies the existence of the Holocaust, promises to 'wipe Israel off the map' and who, moreover, urges Iranians to 'prepare to take over the world'.
... So who is this Hidden Imam? He was a direct descendant of the Prophet Mohammed who, at the age of five, disappeared down a well around AD940. He will only return after a period of utter chaos and bloodshed, whereupon peace, justice and Islam will reign worldwide.
... When I was in Tehran, Ahmadinejad was its mayor, and an Iranian friend with links to the city council told me: 'He's instructed the council to build a grand avenue to prepare for the Mahdi's return.

Subject: Iranian PresidentThe President of Iran never said anything that was chilling. He feels that his God will come back in two years and give judgement. He never threatened anyone. I believe my God will come back for Judgement. Some Christians go so far as to make a prediction for our end times. Robertson, Falwell, even Limbaugh, although he just tries to get us to beleive stuff that really isn't there.
If we stop hating, maybe other countries will start treating us with respect and listen to our ideas.
I think we have worse dingbats here than what we make out the President of Iran to be.

John,You are well meaning, but terribly naive and uninformed.
Do you know nothing of al-Taqiyya, and of what the man believes? Do you know nothing of the last 20 years of deceit and lying oto the international community on the part of Iran. Gosh, John, one could go on forever.
Thank you for your input but you do need to catch up with facts and reality. Fortunately, there are grownups out and about that are fully aware of Ahmadinejad's intentions.
BTW John, you wouldn't just happen to be wearing a tin hat, would you?

Richard - Sure I remember history. I remember when we installed the Shah of Iran who pretty well insulted every Iranian in the country. His lies and torture were not as well documented by the media here, but at the time Iranians were taking note.Having lived there, I can at least tell you that the CIA influence was annoying and hasn't been forgotten. As for naive, our limited press in the US tells me that most of us are uninformed. And who are you to tell me what I wear on my head. Is this one of those strategies one uses to bully, call names or allude that one has no credibility? Have you lived overseas? Have you read the Bible about tolerance? Compassion? Or the Commandent about killing? An eye for eye means everyone will eventually be blind.
Pre-emptive hate or attacks is not Biblical. See you in Church
