New Music Video by Pop Singer Helen Reddy
Topics: HumorAnonymous sources at Entertainment Tonight have confirmed rumors that Pop singer Helen Reddy is working on a new Music Video soon to be released on the market.
Ms. Reddy, an Icon of the "Women's Lib" movement for her 70s hit song "I Am Woman" which became the unofficial national anthem of the movement, is rumored to have wanted to make the Music Video about that song, but was discouraged by producers who convinced her that taking her bra off and burning it in defiance during filming while she sang, would make sales of the video sag to the floor, along with other things, with today's more conservative audiences. They also noted that the challange of arraging to bring Gloria Steinem, who was to make a Cameo appearance in the video, in her geriatric wheelchair, from her Retirement Home in Lesbos, San Francisco, posed too many logistical problems. Taking such concerns into consideration, Ms. Reddy and her producers decided instead to embark in the current project.
According to sources, Ms. Reddy's Music Video will feature another one of her great hits from the 70s, the song "You and Me Against the World".
In it Ms. Reddy will be performing in the foreground while behind her clips of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad meeting with North Korean General Secretary Kim Jong-il will be shown to the tune of Ms. Reddy's music in the background: "You and me against the world...sometimes it feels like you and me against the world..."
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez will also be shown in a Cameo clip of his now famous recent speech before the U.N. General Assembly in the part of the song that runs: "...when the circus came to town... and you were frightened by the clown..."
A picture of gay Lebanese President Emile Lahoud embracing Iranian President Ahmadinejad in a recent meeting of the two in Beirut will be shown at the end of the song in the part where the little girl says: "I love you mommy!"
A release date for the Music Video has not yet been set awaiting approval from the local Mullah.
