Democrats Cry Foul, Demand Equal Time to Spew Their Venom!
Topics: Political News and commentariesOne of the criticisms leveled at President Bush by conservatives and Republicans, has been the apparent unwillingness of the Administration to confront the vicious attacks, and the unrelenting barrage of mean spirited, virulent, false accusations, and, politically charged inaccurate statements, made day in and day out, by Senators Harry Reid, Ted Kennedy, Nancy Pelosi, Dick Durbin and the rest of their "frothing at the mouth" Democratic ilk, by their "Elite" media lieges (or shall I more appropriately call them "leeches"), and the liberal left-leaning press, which for the most part, the Administration has left unanswered!
We have all seen how even after a cache of shells filled with remnants of nerve gas were found in Iraq, which are indicative that Saddam had indeed maintained some remaining older WMDs that he could have used at any given time to jump-start once again his biological and chemical weapons programs; or after declassified captured Iraqi documents have surfaced that support the terrorist ties Saddam had with Al Qaeda, Hamas and other terrorist groups, along with other documents which have come to light, that support many of the Administration's claims - which obviously the liberal dominated mainstream media has "chosen" mostly to ignore; yet, President Bush and the Administration have sheepishly failed to use such findings to support their claims, or to make their case before the American people, while the left-leaning press, the "Elite" media, and the liberal, left-wing, Democratic demagogues, have pounded him mercilessly, savaging the President and his policies, blatantly accusing him of lying and misleading the American people, in a relentless onslaught. While the White House has mostly remained self-restrained and "aloof"!
The Democrats have consistently been kick-boxing the President and the Administration, hitting them below the belt all the time, with Proverbial "iron horseshoes sneaked inside their boxing gloves," while the President and the Administration have been "Gallantly" fighting them according to the "Maquess of Queensberry" rules! How "Pre-Raphaelitically" pathetic!!!
We have all witnessed how the previous White House Press Secretary, Scott McClellan, used to be viciously clobbered day after day, by the White House Press Corp, led by that drunken, poor excuse for a journalist, David Gregory, who along with Helen Thomas and the rest of their flock of vultures, would not even let the poor man finish a sentence before vociferously launching into venomous anti-Bush diatribes, which were more leftist, liberal, propagandistic harangues than loaded questions, while the poor McClellan fumbled in dismay trying to get a word in! Thank God Tony Snow is there now, and has put those nasty birds of rapine in their place!!!
Many of us have wondered whatever happened to that "Texas cowboy," of his First Term, that took the bull by the horns, and would say to the Islamist terrorists "bring it on!" and would not be cowered! Perhaps the " try to be a uniter" crap of the 2004 Presidential campaign has gotten to Bush's head, and he's no longer in touch with the stark reality that if "appeasing" the Islamofacist Jihadists that hate us and want us dead, is a sheer impossibility, to "appease" the Democrats who hate him is even more infinitely difficult still!!!
So, after seeing the President and his Administration take all the rabid abuse they have taken from their Democratic political foes for years, it is simply baffling, and disgraceful, to see the Democrats hysterically crying "foul" now, just because in his 9/11 speech the President mentioned Iraq, and explained to the American people the importance of our succeeding there to the on-going "War on Terror," without ever mentioning the Democrats by name, or further politicizing the speech!!!
But wait! Just like they invariably say in the "$19.95" TV commercials : "...and that's not all! " Minority Leaders Reid and Pelosi, have written a joint letter of protest to all the CEOs , and heads of the networks, accusing the President of using his "Bully Pulpit" (seems ironic, since that's all that Senator Reid has been doing himself, ever since given a microphone, whenever he has to speak as Senate Minority Leader!) "DEMANDING" that if the President is again given air-time to talk to the nation in the future, that they (the Democrats) be given equal time!!! Copies of the "memo" are now circulating in Democratic circles in the Capitol! What in the heck is this?!?!
Like I have said in previous posts, the Democrats and the Left in America have grown so paranoiac and so shrill that it would be pitifully comic, were it not for the real threat that their liberal, secular progressive, defeatist madness poses to the country! One only has to wonder, what ever-greater absurdity, chicanery, or off-the-wall hare-brained buffoonery, they will do next!!!
Indeed, not only are we at war, and in a "Clash of Cultures," with Medieval-minded, fanatical, Islamist savages; but we are also waging a second "Civil War" in America: "The Culture war." And though the fate of our nation verily hangs on its outcome, it will not be decided in the battlefields, as in the 1860s, but behind the drawn curtains of the voting booths! In a strange way, they both have become intertwined, and succes will not be achieved in the one, unless we win the other!!!
