The French Have the Answer, Again

Topics: Middle East News and Perspectives

Apparently, the French have once again come forward with a solution to the Iranian-Israeli conflict. Israel should follow the French lead in World War II. Israel should surrender to the Islamists, simply rollover on its back - the conflict will then be over and the world can return to bliss and harmony according to Allah.

In a small sign that the French might have some chance of coming out of their exile in "Frenchiland", they may be showing signs of falling out of love with Ahmadinejad and waking up to the "possibility" that Iran may not be a stabilizing influence in the region: "France's foreign minister condemned Ahmadinehjad's comments Thursday, saying Iran is ruining its chances to play a positive and stabilizing role in the Middle East." Days after calling Iran a "stabilizing" force in the Middle East, French Foreign Minister Philippe Douste-Blazy issued a statement harshly criticizing Iran's call on Thursday to destroy Israel.

"I totally condemn these words," Douste-Blazy said on France-Inter radio, in response to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's statement Thursday that the solution to the current Middle East crisis was to destroy Israel.
