On Silencing God Talk: So Who's Really In Need Of Education?
Topics: LibertyWhat's unfortunate is that every school year, new unreasonable restrictions of free speech come to the forefront in this country, simply because educators - the ACLU - don't have a clear understanding of the First Amendment. Under the Free Exercise Clause, a student can express his or her personal religious beliefs in an assignment or as a valedictorian.
This brings Nat Hentoff to say that talking about God is a child's right, not a school's choice...
