Hearing Today For Step-father Of 2 year-old Kelsey Smith Briggs

Do you remember Kelsey? Her dad will never forget her, or the bastard that killed her while he was in Iraq.

Kelsey Smith Briggs is the 2 year-old little girl that was murdered by her stepfather, with nine months of documented abuse, while her dad was serving in Iraq. The above image is of her and her dad together, before he left to fight for his country. While he was away, his country let him down - and his precious little girl died just hours before he arrived back home to see her:

The little girl was described as having significant bleeding in her intestines and bruising on her ribs, the front of her chest, side and back. Records indicate that she had bruises in other areas of her body and medical examiners believe she suffered from possible kneeing, punching or squeezing.

Today, there is a preliminary hearing in Lincoln County District Court in Chandler, Oklahoma, for the stepfather, Michael Porter. He is charged with first-degree murder and sexually abusing Kelsey.

Kelsey's mother, Raye Dawn Smith, is charged with child neglect and enabling child abuse in the case.
