Beauty Queen Under Attack
Topics: Understanding IslamHow could anyone be offended by this 16 year-old beauty who has advanced to the top 26 Miss Teen Australia? Why is she under attack?
Ask Sheik Mohammed Omran. He calls her participation a "slur on Islam."
Her parents say that she wants to be a model and participating in a beauty pagent hasn't got a damned thing to do with her religion (my words not theirs.). I say - good for them. As a commenter at Sandmonkey pointed out, "millions of muslims and arab women wear swimsuits every day on the beach." Nutcases like the Sheik need to get a life! Muhammad certainly never even heard of a cell phone or a TV, but I bet the Sheik has both.
