The Israeli Response To Hezbollah And The Lebanese "Civilian Casualties" Crisis.

Topics: Middle East News and Perspectives

Faced with an open act of aggression, the killing of its soldiers in an unprovoked incursion into Israel and the kidnapping of the two surviving ones by Hezbollah, Israel has acted with the kind of sovereign backbone, and moral integrity, generally lacking in the West, including in the United States!

While a rain of thousands of Katyusha rockets falls over Israeli cities, which because of their notorious inaccuracy are being purposefully fired by Hezbollah not at strategic military targets in Israel but at the civilian population to intimidate and terrorize the Israeli public, the "Clintonite Shuttle Diplomacists," the anti-American / anti-Semite European Leaders, politically correct human secularists here in America and all over the world, and the impotent, emasculated, envoy of the United nations to the region, wring their hands in angst at the appropriately "surgical" Israeli response to extirpate this Hezbollah "cancer" which has laid to ruin that part of the Lebanese infrastructure that served Hezbollah and its followers in southern Lebanon. They whine that Israel has used "excessive force" in pursuing the destruction of Hezbollah, and that the Israeli response has been "disproportionate." Tell that to the families of the civilians dying in Israel under an unprovoked shower of death falling from the heavens!

The naive attitude of all these "Clintonite Shuttle Diplomacists" is that of wishing to resolve all the world's ills with
"diplomacy" a la "Carter", without realizing that it was precisely this provenly failed policy of diplomacy and appeasement which allowed terrorists to plan, recruit, regroup, and exercise their plots, while their "proxies" have kept us lulled with meaningless "negotiations" all these years!

To the chagrin of Democrats in America, it was this policy of "Shuttle Diplomacy" and "appeasement" epitomized by the Clinton Administration, which encouraged and unleashed by its inherent weakness as perceived amongst Islamist radicals, thechain reaction of Islamist attacks which began with the first 1993 World Trade Center bombing, and progressed, unchecked by the Clinton Administration, with the 1995 bombings in Saudi Arabia, the 1996 Khobar Towers bombing, the 1998 bombing of U. S. embassies in Africa, the 2000 attack on the USS Cole, and ultimately resulted in the emboldening of Al Qaeda and Osama Bin Laden and the attacks on 9/11!

During the Somali "Humanitarian Action" I poignantly remember the images on our television screens of the fallen American pilot whose body was desecrated by the joyously laughing, dancing, Islamist rabble, hitting him and spitting upon his corpse, while ignominiously dragging it through the streets of Mogadishu in an orgy of celebration, while, due to the directives from the Clinton White House, our soldiers sat with their tails between their legs taking fire without being able to return it!!!

In the words of Larry Parker on his excellent "The Battle of Mogadishu":

"[Clinton's] empty rhetoric and token gestures, his timorous, ineffectual response to these events, coupled with our perceived defeat in Somalia emboldened our adversaries - especially Osama Bin Laden. Bin Laden's own words are noteworthy: "Where was this false courage of yours when the explosion in Beirut took place in 1983? And where was this courage of yours when two explosions made you leave Aden in less than twenty-four hours! But your most disgraceful case was in Somalia; where - after vigorous propaganda about the power of the United States and its post-cold war leadership of the new world order - you moved tens of thousands of an international force, including 28,000 American soldiers, into Somalia. However, when tens of your soldiers were killed in minor battles and one American pilot was dragged in the streets of Mogadishu you left the area carrying disappointment, humiliation, defeat and your dead with you.... You have been disgraced by Allah and you withdrew. The extent of your impotence and weakness became very clear." Osama Bin Laden views the United States as a 'paper tiger' and having defeated one super power in Afghanistan feels fully capable of and morally justified in taking on the other."
And now many of our Democratic, leftists politicians wish to continue this "opiating" of ourselves with more of the same while Iran and the Islamists buy time to seek nuclear weapons with which to obliterate not only Israel, but the United States, Europe, and the West?!?!

Not only does it seem according to these "Shuttle Diplomacist" secularists we do not have the will as a people to stand up to our Islamist enemies bent on destroying everything we stand for, as exemplified by all the empty, anti-military, anti-Israel, pacifist, rhetoric of the Kennedys, Reids, Durbins, Pelosis, and Murthas in our Capitol, and the bias and disingenuousness with which our "Elite" media has covered the War in Iraq and is also now covering the Israeli attacks on Lebanon pursuing certain political and ideological agendas, but they even criticize Israel for having the "cojones" for doing what it seems we are too "politically correct" and "effeminate" as a nation to do any longer - even for our own survival, and propose to curtail the Israeli Heroic efforts to eradicate Hezbollah once and for all as a military presence in southern Lebanon!!! But then, what can you expect from these politicians (even our own President) who for the sake of "political correctness" and PR "bullfeces" call murderous Islam a "Religion of Peace"?!?!

The outroar about the so called "excessive force" used by the Israelis in this conflict, and about the "innocent Lebanese civilian casualties" is being continually clamored by European politicians, at the United Nations, and on our television screens - with much coverage "sympathetic" to Hezbollah by the likes of Anderson Cooper and CNN (predictably so). However, what all these folk forget, or choose not to mention, is that for years Hezbollah has purposely entrenched itself amidst the civilian Shiite population of southern Lebanon, in order to use them as "human shields" precisely in case of such an eventuality as Israel's present military action, so as to be able to claim "civilian casualties" for their PR campaign as they do now!

Many Israeli platoons are now finding the hard way how Hezbollah fighters have dug up tunnels and made bunkers under civilian housing from where they pop up out of their rat holes to launch Katyusha rockets or ambush Israeli troops, shielding themselves amongst the civilian population! But of course, the world takes no note of that!!!

Another salient point usually glossed over by critics of Israel is that many of said "innocent civilian casualties" are in sooth friends and family members of these murderous Hezbollah, who offered them assistance and logistical support, and therefore are indeed genuine military targets.

In a recent interview of a young Shiite woman refugee fleeing southern Lebanon for Syria, this young woman, holding her toddler son in her arms, swore before the cameras that one day she would return to southern Lebanon with her son to "teach him to fight Israel"!

These are the same mothers who gleefully send their children to commit "Shahada" and blow themselves up in order to kill innocent strangers - just because they are Jews or Christians!

Itamar Marcus, Director of Palestinian Media Watch, has an excellent site, "Ask for Death", (http://www.pmw.org.il/ASK%20FOR%20DEATH.htm) where he explores at length this Islamic "Religion of Death's" cultural, religious, and social "aberration" with plenty of shocking videos and testimonials by these "loving" Muslim mothers, that send chills through the spine. I urge everyone to watch them.

It's no wonder that with such "loving mothers" like that, so many Muslim youths wouldn't want to commit suicide - I recall the words of Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir: When the Palestinians learn to love their own children more than they hate ours, then perhaps we will have peace", which was recently so appropriately quoted by Richard in his piece "Islamists Love Death Like We Love Life" here on Hyscience.

Any decent human being naturally regrets the loss of innocent life in the present conflict in Lebanon, yet this is a conflict which was brought about upon the region by Hezbollah in order to serve Iranian and Syrian political purposes and buy Iran time in which to develop a nuclear capability with which to obliterate Israel and the West, and not by Israeli aggression.

Lebanon justly deserves the Israeli wrath it faces for abetting the Hezbollah terrorists for years, for failing as a nation to maintain its national sovereignty over its own territory allowing Hezbollah to virtually become a State within a State, able to use Lebanese soil as a base from which to launch their attacks on Israel with impunity!

Personally, I would say that if a good number of these so called "Lebanese civilian casualties" were in fact related to Hezbollah terrorists and or were members of their immediate families, or welcomed them in their midst offering them logistical and moral support, and knowingly sheltered these murderous terrorists and their Katyusha rockets and weaponry in their homes and neighborhoods (that is why they were targeted), and take into account that many of these same so called "innocent women and children" killed in the Israeli offensive would have been the future suicide bombers and the "loving" mothers who'd send them, that would one day explode buses full of innocent Israeli school children, unsuspecting shoppers at a mall, or the unwary patrons in a pizzeria in Israel, in a never-ending, vicious circle of hatred and violence, not only then would I consider them to be indeed genuine military targets, but would further add to boot: "and good riddance"!!!
