Jawa Report Banned In India

Jawa Report has been banned in India:

India has banned a number of websites by domain, but has only singled out 11 websites by name, including this one. Among American websites, all are connected in some way to The Jawa Report.

Why did India ban this website? And what is the larger meaning of this action? We have a post about it here. Whether you agree with my analysis or not, we, those who have been singled out by the world's largest democracy as targets of censorship, could use the support right now.

... Indians have already begun to protest this action by their government. We hope you will do the same.

Jawa Report has apparently offended Islamists and India is afraid of it's own Muslim citizens. As pointed out at JR, sadly, it is increasingly becoming evident that liberty may not be able to exist wherever there is a large population of Muslims, especially when a large and growing number of them have allegiance to the ummah rather than the nation or culture that provides them the freedoms that they would so easily deny all that do not believe in the perverted ideology of Islamic fundamentalism.

There are an estimated 5-8 million Muslims in the United States. The big question is of that percentage, how many of these practicing Muslims are fundamentalists, and of those, extremists? We're finding out there are a hell of a lot more than we previously thought. Unfortunately for India, they have been slow learners and are now suffering the consequences.
