From the very beginning of the Iraq war, it was these individuals who have consistently tried to equate this conflict with Viet Nam. Iraqis were still celebrating in the streets of Baghdad the fall of Saddam when these "Peaceniks" were already bemoaning this conflict as a "Quagmire" in the media, a term that is synonymous with the Viet Nam war, demanding that we cut and run.

Who are these people? For one thing most are "Baby Boomers" the sons and daughters of those who have been appropriately termed the "Greatest Generation," but who unlike their fathers and mothers, are but a sad, twisted, mocking caricature of their heroic parents.

If there is one generation in the history of the entire world to whom the famous remark made by Gertrude Stein: "You are all a lost generation" best applies, is to the American "Baby Boomer" Viet Nam Era generation from which all these rabid leftists who vehemently hate America and everything it stands for have sprung from!

Amazingly, they have been the most blessed of all generations in the history of America, indeed the world, and for the most part most enjoyed in their childhood the unrivaled postwar prosperity of the 50s that allowed blue collar working fathers to earn enough at their jobs, by themselves, to be able to afford the new home with all the new appliances and gizmos, the new car in the garage, the Lionel trains and Barbies under the Christmas Tree, and for Mom to be able to stay home to care and nurture them! It was a "Golden Age."

Yet, unlike their fathers who had to endure the gut wrenching poverty and privations of the "Great Depression" many of these privileged, overindulged, ungrateful, arrogant brats, turned on their parents, their teachers, the society and its institutions that had nurtured them, and were the ones that ushered in the "Culture War," the "New Age" of "Altered States of Consciousness" drug culture, "Free Love" promiscuity, immorality, and sodomy, and the self-centered secular godless hedonism to which sacrificing oneself for one's country became repugnant

While their fathers during World War II had heroically, almost to a man, fought against seemingly insurmountable odds a formidable and determined foe in the Pacific Theater, while at the same time battling the then most technologically advanced nation on the planet in the European front, these self centered, hedonists "Rebels without a Cause" indulged in their Woodstock orgies, reveled in engaging in anti-war protests waving Viet Cong flags in front of our nation's Capitol, burning draft cards and American flags, falsely denouncing our troops before Senate Committees, and in verily destructing the fabric of our society; a luxury no other generation before them could have afforded, who were too busy employing their time working, trying to make ends meet and to survive to have had the "luxury" of the available time and "ennui" to engage in such antisocial behavior! Again, in Richard's words:

"My buddies and I did our duty in the jungles of Vietnam while a****** leftists called us baby killers, guys like John Kerry who isn't worth an ounce of sweat on a good Marines ass. Now younger men are taking their turn in battle - fighting in the deserts of Iraq, my own son among them, and yes, as with the Vietnam war, the lefties are lined up to criticize the troops and do their anti-war thing again."

Even to this day, in spite of their receding hairlines and their greying hairs, the "John Kerrys" are still at it! Ironically, they are the ones who have now become the "establishment" they so vehemently detested - the Kennedys, Reids, Durbins, Pelosis, Boxers and their ilk - whose legislation and judicial activism threatens to undermine all the values America has traditionally held most dear, and are hell-bent on changing the very character of all that makes us Americans - even our culture and ethnicity, as witnessed by their ardent support of open borders, illegal immigration, and the Mexican demographic invasion swamping us from south of the border!

These are the same people that in the Reagan days would have capitulated and surrendered to the aggression of the now defunct Soviet Union for the sake of "disarmament." If it had been up to them the Berlin Wall would still stand!

These are the people who want us now to leave Iraq in defeat and cut and run as we did in Viet Nam, not because we lack the military strength or might, but simply because they lack the will to fight!

These are the people who want to turn the traditional American "Melting Pot" into multiple Cantons of loosely confederated multi-cultural ethnicities and languages - bereft of all sense of National pride and identity - as a racist black New York City Councilman has called it in anticipatory joy: "The browning of America"!

These are the "Degeneres" that wish to undermine and disenfranchise every traditional family value that has been the cornerstone of our society, while espousing degenerate "Alternate Lifestyles" that, forget religion, even go against the very grain of Darwinian natural selection for the maintenance of a viable population within a species!

These are the people waging this unrelenting, vicious war of ideology against the majority of the American people, some of whom, hearkening back to the days of the "Weathermen," call for "revolution" such as the following commenter did, quoted on Redstate:

"We have been lied to so many times by this illegitimate administration that the news of Al Zaqarwi's death as a faint whiff to it. It is like the boy who cried wolf once too often. Of course, the Repugs will orgasm over this and dear old George will go into deep ecstasy. Now we are rid of one murderous tyrant-how about the removal of another one-believed hiding in a safe-house at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue? to which I would like to respond, well, you know what buddy? There is going to be a "revolution" alright, but it is not going to be the one you and your Leftists Elitist buddies are calling for, but the awakening of that long suffering, silent majority of America that has just had enough with you, your "revolutionary" crap, taxes and "socialism," Islamofacist terrorists, illegal Mexican immigrants, gays shoving down their lifestyles down the throats of our children, the Democrats in Washington, betraying Republican Senators, activists judges, the Elite media, and all the "political correctness" idiocy and circus going on in Washington, and will just shirk you all off like the bunch of leeches you all are!

Americans have had enough, and it is high time we put all these senile geriatric Viet Nam Era "Hippies" in six hundred dollar suits and silk ties and their ilk on our collective knee, and give them a good spanking for once in their lives....the one they have long deserved! They truly are "a lost generation"!
