Who Is 'Ziad Khalaf Raja al-Karbouly' ?
Topics: Iraq.. He's the guy that some are saying is the source of the information that led to the demise of Zarqawi. Dan Reihl has the story and has some questions:
The fellow alleged to have ratted out Zaqarwi is something of a TV star in Jordan. But something is definitely up. Why would Jordan announce this guy to the world two weeks before we took out Zaqarwi? If he was the rat, it makes no sense. You'd think Zaqarwi would burn any safe houses he knew about. Could it be that was part of the plan? Now they are buring this guy to protect a genuine source?Read the rest...
What we do "know for sure" is that we "don't know for sure" who actually provided the information that led to Zarqawi being introduced to two 500 pound bombs. However, I sure hope that Ziad Khalaf Raja al-Karbouly is the guy because ABC's The Blotter blog and others have now got this guys name and photograph plastered all over the Internet so he'd better get a good portion of 25 million dollars to pay for plastic surgery and a place to hide for the rest of his life. And he'll need the plastic surgery and a rock solid alias before the Jordanians put him in prison - else the islamofascists in the Jordanian prison cells will ride him like a camel until he's dead, or cut his head off. Either way, he's dead meat!
