U.S. to Give Iran Nuclear Technology
Topics: IranSay What?
A package of incentives presented Tuesday to Iran includes a provision for the United States to supply Tehran with some nuclear technology if it stops enriching uranium _ a major concession by Washington...Let me see if I get this right... if Iran promises to behave itself and not make any nuclear weapons, we'll help it along the path to develop nuclear technology? Wow - that's clever!
All joking aside, it's naive to believe that Iran will implode from within, it's more naive to believe that Iran can be trusted to live up to any agreement and not secretly cheat, and it's even more naive to believe that the West can establish sufficient controls so as to catch Iran at cheating - which it will do with absolute certainty.
It's nice to be warm and fuzzy, and say that this is a positive step forward. Time will show that it's an exercise in futility, Iran has no intention of complying with any agreement with the West, and anyone that believes differently is falling in the Iran's taqiya trap, and providing Iran with yet another avenue for furthering it's pursuit of spreading Islamism in it's non-stop pursuit of the caliphate.
And what about the little matter of Iran's 20 year history of lies and deceit - their expert employment of al-taqiya against the world's efforts to reign-in their pursuit of nuclear weapons, and the fact that they have never ever lived up to a single promise in the past?
