Iraq War Vet Fighting The Good Fight At Home

Riehl World View has a post on Vince Micco, an Iraq War veteran still fighting for the troops by taking on five-term Liberal Democrat opponent, Steve Rothman, in New Jersey's 9th District.

"I'm an Iraq war veteran, and it really bothers me the way the war is being portrayed by the president's critics," said Micco, a former Army sergeant who was a counterintelligence specialist in Iraq and an Army reservist for nine years.

"I am running because the American people can and should be proud of what we're accomplishing in Iraq, and throughout the Middle East," Micco said.

Not only did Vince serve nine years in the U.S. Army, including a year in Iraq as a sergeant fighting terrorism as part of a counter-intelligence unit, noteworthy is the fact that he experienced the war on the front lines, not from behind a desk in Washington D.C.

This, while his liberal weenie opponent brags about not supporting the troops: ""Today, I again sent a clear message to President Bush that he cannot count on me to continue paying for his stay-the-course policy in Iraq."

Send Rothman to hell (proverbial - to political oblivion), and help support the man who supports his country and his Commander-In-Chief!
