Disgusting Leftist Dribble From The New York Times

Topics: Political News and commentaries

The NYT out does itself in todays' argument for the U.S. doing a "cut and run" from Iraq, and initiating a giant step forward for Islamic terrorism:

Rather than engage in a serious debate about America's future course in Iraq, President Bush and the Republican Congress have again opted for sound bites and partisanship. Yet all the choreographed posturing and a one-week flurry of good news cannot blot out the larger picture of dubious trends and dismal prospects. Not only is the glass less than half full. The water level, viewed over months rather than days, is not noticeably rising.
Read the rest of it's Leftist dribble padding the Democratic leadership's "Kerry agenda" in today's "A Long Road Ahead in Iraq."

The NYT wouldn't admit that the "water level is rising," even if they were drowning in it. And if the terrorists are allowed to win in Iraq, whether we stay or leave," the only thing the NYT will end being able to print is what sharia law dictates, and the entire editorial staff will be attending Friday prayers at their neighborhood mosque - provided New York is still there after the terrorists finish nuking the city with bombs obtained from Iran, developed for "peaceful purposes (As in "rest in peace"!), and passed it on to it's Islamic terrorist buddies."

Like it or not, believe it or not, the War on Terror is centered in Iraq, for the moment, and winning there is not an option. What is "winning" in Iraq? What's so difficult to understand about an end to insurgency and an elected government able to govern a people free from terrorism?

What the Left fails to understand is that there are indeed very evil people in the world, and that the greatest danger to our own continued existance as a civilized society depends upon our defeating the evil of Islamic terrorism, which is for now - primarily in Iraq. The war in Iraq is not just for Iraq - what the NYT and it's Leftist friends fail to comprehend is that Iraq is as much about protecting Americans as it is about saving Iraqis.

We can proceed to a win in Iraq with our eyes wide open, or retreat blindly into oblivion.
