Bush To Iran: World Won't Back Down On Demand For Halt To Uranium Enrichment
Topics: Iran
Bush used the occasion of a commencement speech at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy to make it clear that he has no intention of budging:
"Iran's leaders have a clear choice. We hope they will accept our offer and voluntarily suspend these activities so we can work out an agreement that will bring Iran real benefits," ...Now, if he only means it and the Security Council hangs tough, together.... If Iran's leaders reject the offer, they will face action before the U.N. Security Council and progressively stronger political and economic sanctions...
Meanwhile, you don't need a magnifying glass or be a psychic to read through the lines and know that Iran has no intention whatsoever of complying with Bush's demands for Iran to bring a halt to uranium enrichment, and to see the glaring words of "... studying the EU's package of incentives, adding that Iran will certainly present its response immediately after the needed studies are carried out," to know that Iran is simply going to continue with it's 20 year history of deceit, lies and deception, ever-stalling for more time while it secretly develops nuclear technology at clandestine military-operated nuclear facilities.
Related: "While the United States gives Pakistan $700 million a year in aid, Islamabad still won't give us access to the former CEO of Pakistan's nuclear Walmart, A.Q. Khan - the only outsider with insider knowledge of Tehran's nuclear program."
