New Arrest In Natalee Holloway Case

Topics: Natalee Holloway

Dan Riehl has a translation and writes that the suspect could be Guido Wever.

From Fox News:

Dutch police have detained a man on suspicion of participating in the kidnapping and killing of Natalee Holloway last year in Aruba, the suspect's lawyer said Sunday.

Gerard Spong said his client, whose name was not disclosed, was accused of "assisting in the murder, heavy battery and kidnapping" of Holloway. He also told Dutch national TV broadcaster NOS that the suspect was a croupier at the casino in the hotel where Holloway was staying.

It may be too much to hope for, but it would be nice to finely get some credible information instead of simply more fuel for a "who dunnit"!

"Eerde", a commenter on the Hyscience forum who seems to be knowledgeable of the Netherlands (appears to have translated some of the Dutch and provided this link), says that this appears to be a good development - "Dutch police (other than Aruban police) will not arrest a person just for fun or that he may know something. The request for an arrest will need to have been accompanied by some good reason". More on the Forum as other readers chime in!
